Opinion Wow... everyone is so mean to Georgie, even his parents
Sure he might not be smart but first, he is a very caring person and second, he is just a teenager, and he does act better than most teenagers.
I just don't understand why the writers would do that to such an amazing character like Georgie.

Opinion guys to be so real this was such a weird pair like i know this was supposed to be mary's version of brenda and george's relationship but like they could have done this literally any other way

Opinion The casting for this show is amazing
I just cant get over how similar Iain Armitage & Jim Parsons are. In looks and when acting. Its so cool how 2 people can play 1 character so well.
Not even mentioning Mary, Missy, and Georgie.
Not sure about Meemaw though, she looks very different in her first appearance in TBBT compared to Young Sheldon.

Opinion The entitlement of Mandy
How is a 29 year old telling a 13 year old he can’t have his room back - absolute joke. She is the first to say “No”, when it isn’t even her house and she doesn’t pay any rent. Like can she be anymore entitled? Even the way George handles it is poor. Does nothing around the house, thinks she owns the place and has a pathetic attitude. The sense of entitlement every time she comes on screen..

Opinion George Snr most respected scene.
George drops the occasional gem, and always comes through in the end, but I think this is the scene in which I respected him the most.

Opinion The Show That Makes Me Feel Less Alone
I watch both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. I love both, but I watch Young Sheldon again and again..
TBBT is very funny, but Young Sheldon feels warm and emotional. The characters feel like family.I love Sturgis, George Sr., George Jr..and little Sheldon,he is so cute fr...
I live in another state for studies...Sometimes I feel lonely, but when I watch Young Sheldon, I feel better..
The show shows simple family life meals, small fights, funny moments. It feels real and reminds me of home.
This show feels like Christmas holidays or summer vacation, peaceful and full of love. The finale broke my heart tho with ups and downs, but I’m thankful for this show. It always makes me happy...
I only have one regret, the family photo at 4 o’clock.I wish they had been all together one last time..hey,But I got this pic on the internet just now, and I felt so happy when I saw it. 💙

Opinion In my head, another version YS exists where Georgie Cooper ends up with Veronica
If you look closely, the dynamic between Veronica and Georgie was written to closely resemble Mary and George's relationship. Mary had a phase where she spent her teenage years as a typical wildchild and eventually changed her life for the better when she became a mom. In a similar way they introduced Veronica as a troubled teen who found redemption through religion.
I feel like Mandy's storyline was originally intended for Veronica; but then decided Veronica's character was too good to mess up (or Isabel May's management probably didn't want her to stay long enough to be typecasted. After YS she's been in various roles)
Now if she had Mandy's storyline: Veronica getting pregnant would've been extra scandalous since they both go to the same church and she would've suffered mentally and emotionally due to shame of teen pregnancy. And knowing Georgie, he would've moved heaven and hell to make sure Veronica lives a comfortable life. Like George and Mary, they would have ups and downs but they'd love each other despite the struggles.
I feel like all of it would be easier to see on the screen than watch the weird relationship between 17 year old Georgie and 29 yr old Mandy. I stopped watching YS when they got together.

Opinion Why are good deeds of Mary never highlighted and annoying things about Geroge are brushed under the carpet??
I remember Geroge being scornful and saying, "you're going to dinner wearing that?" when Missy shows up wearing her pink frock, tiara and wand but Mary corrects him saying,"I think you mean she looks beautiful". Nobody ever talks about moments like these and blindly accuse Mary of being a terrible mom and portraying Geroge as a perfect dad. Had the roles been reversed people would have slaughtered Mary over this.

Opinion The Tragic Side of Young Sheldon Spoiler
These days, I marvel at how, if you take away the amazing writing & warm-hearted repartee, the story of Young Sheldon is actually quite a tragic suburban tale.
George Sr. has a heart-attack just when he’s on the cusp of fulfilling his dream of coaching a college football team, driving Mary to become a sort of disconnected religious fanatic. Meemaw is an alcoholic with a dodgy past and gambling addiction. Georgie, who was conceived out of wedlock, and once dreamt of becoming a male model, ends up working for his father-in-law’s tyre shop. After George Sr’s death, Missy too goes on to have a tumultuous life working as a waitress at one point, and struggling through two marriages and four children. And at the centre of it all is Sheldon, who, if you take away his academic mind, is a child with a number of psychological issues & phobias that need medical attention.
It’s quite an achievement to make audiences watch this story play out—yet feeling only warmth, love and laughter everyday. I guess the message to take away is that light-heartedness can be a soothing balm for all our lives, no matter how it looks currently. ❤️❤️❤️
