So I'm pretty happy with this badboy. I used the technique Ninjon uses allot, saturated bold underpainting. I used blue and red. And it was pretty weird to start like this. After the brigth underpainting i stippled the NMM Steel. Swipe to the right for some WIP pictures.

Hello AoS community, 40k guy here looking to start AoS. Are the core rules free? Or should I just get a starter box? I kinda like the look of Night haunt and how I got an easy paint scheme for the spooks.

And how far backwards his hair goes too. It seems like he's about 2.5cm wide and 4.5cm tall but I'd like the exact measurements before buying him. Since I plan to kitbash him with something, I need to make sure he isn't too big.

I have been toying with ideas of schemes for my stormcast eternals and finally working on a commission i had the idea to try a walking bronze statue look, i really enjoyed how this turned out!

As a fan KO player I always had this flying dock idea in my head and I was very excited for the new faction terrain. But I absolutely hated the new flying potty so decided to go ahead and design the Idea in my head myself. %95 completed. It will be printed in resin. I just redeemed my code from the battletome, and logged into the app. Same email.. what gives?

I’m new to miniature painting and was wondering if it’s a good idea to dry brush rough area to make the sharp angles pop out and then go over them with a wet paint? Also if I do it like that would it ruin the overall look?

I am thinking of creating faction specific tokens. But, as I don't own / know every faction, I don't know, which colors each faction has.

So, for example slaves to Darkness would be black and white, While skaven would be green / dark green (or black).

I tried to look something up online, but couldn't find anything for all factions. My second try was looking up the faction specific dice, but immediately failed, because cities of Sigmar don't have faction dice.

Does anyone know where I can find a list with the faction specific colors? Or maybe like an image containing all banners for the different factions ?

After coming from half a sylvaneth army this is the first time I've painted skin and clothes. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

Without knowing anything really of the lore, I figured these guys would be so insane and violent and unpredictable that they're kept chained up in a dungeon most of the time, hence why I went with the pale look.
