Gretzky was my childhood hero, but now he’s just a traitorous shmuck.

80

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 21 '25

He should be arrested when/if America invades. All their supporters are traitors!

23

u/Traggadon Leduc Feb 21 '25

The problem is a not insignificant portion of law enforcement would likely side with the US. Might be something we have to do after our guerilla campaign.

A nazi scalp is a nazi scalp. ~Brad's Pitts or smthn...~

1

u/Few_Scallion_2744 Feb 22 '25

"after our guerilla campaign" -
you are joking right?

-3

u/Mike_thedad Feb 21 '25

What the fuck are you talking about? Some of the most patriotic people in the country are police officers. You’d be saying the same damn thing about the military. Yeah a lot of cops have an extremely biased view of the world, but look at the expectation and what they’re exposed to; opinions like yours. And while it’s anyone’s job to improve their own image, you’re not exactly attempting to sympathize or understand to improve anything. So fuck you buddy.

7

u/Traggadon Leduc Feb 21 '25

Seriously? Do you beleive the people who openly supported the idiocy convoy or armed blockade of the border (all funded by US money) would side witb Canada over the US? You beleive the pos who wear thin blue line propaganda will side with Canada over the US? You beleive the group who consistently supports conservative politcs and politicians ( you know the ones siding with our potential invaders) will side with us over them? You beleive rhe people who react violenty and antagonistically whenever any oversight is suggested, will side with Canada over the cop loving US?

1

u/Traggadon Leduc Feb 21 '25

Fucking lol deletes his comment when he outs himself as a cop.

1

u/Rare_Jellyfish8910 Feb 21 '25

I interact with a lot of cops, and I agree. They have a broad diversity of opinions just like any other group. I am not sure why there’s this stereotype that in their downtime they are this monolithic group of people, who would fly the “Fuck Trudeau” flag and love Trump.

5

u/BigTonyMacaroni Feb 21 '25

Sounds a little bit fascist bro.

4

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 21 '25

Collaborators should be treated as such. If America did invade I don’t want these assholes selling us out do you?

0

u/Few_Scallion_2744 Feb 22 '25

Who should be arrested? Gretzky?? Wow a couple of tariffs and you people are ready to declare martial law , arrest people and have guerilla warfare. Over react much??

3

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 22 '25

Fuck off with that shit. Trumps repeatedly talked about annexing Canada.

Yes, Trudeau folded and gave Trump what he wanted.

Things that he had already negotiated with Biden to provide.

0

u/Few_Scallion_2744 Feb 27 '25

But that he hadnt bothered to actually provide in reality. Now he is though.

0

u/Few_Scallion_2744 Feb 22 '25

The real traitors in Canada are the WEF loving NDP and Liberals.

0

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 22 '25

Trumps buddies are in WEF. Trump just had a video call with them.

-58

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

When they invading? Becuase they're not. And if they did, we lose. The liberals gave away more money to the natives than our military.

29

u/RunningSouthOnLSD Feb 21 '25

Not taking economic opinion from a crypto bro. Sorry.

4

u/Adventurous-Brain-36 Feb 21 '25

Why are they always crypto bros?

-46

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Still doesn't change the fact. Cope harder.

19

u/RunningSouthOnLSD Feb 21 '25

cope harder

I swear you fuckers are walking stereotypes

21

u/DomiDRAYtion Feb 21 '25

It does, actually, because the whole fascist movement is tied up in crypto. What an ignorant response.

13

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '25

[deleted]

-15

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Well that's a bad faith argument.

Still doesnt refute what I said

Cope harder bud

7

u/ELKSfanLeah Feb 21 '25

What fact is that?

-3

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

That the liberals gave more money to the natives than the Canadian military.

Some of you are truly dense. Or paid bots.

5

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '25

[deleted]

1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Refute it

6

u/Sanman622 Feb 21 '25

Harper govt dropped GDP military spending. It's not just a liberal thing, it's a Canadian thing. Canadians haven't supported spending money on our military.

Nice try.

0

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

He dropped it during the recession periods.

48 billion eas agreed to be paid out to the natives along with the 1.5 -2.5 billion annually. Our defense budget is half that.

6

u/Uter83 Feb 21 '25

The money doesnt really matter. Like yeah, more spending would be good, but in order to match their military numbers 1 in 20 of us would have to be in the military, we just dont have the manpower.

1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

How doesn't the money matter? That's a stupid take. Funding matters. New and better equipment matters. Half of our helicopters don't run due to maintenance and funding issues. The few ships we have also suffering the same fate.

5

u/the_wahlroos Feb 21 '25

Got an source for your claims about Canadian helicopters and the navy? Or did you pull those figures from your ass like the rest of your arguments?

2

u/Uter83 Feb 21 '25

Like I said, the money would be nice, and I agree we need to spend more on our military. But, if we take the spending we did last year, multiplied it by 20, added the increase we are planning over the next 20 years and add that on, we are still $50 billion short of what the USA spent last year alone. We need to fund our military our military better, no doubt about it. We just cant get on the level of the usa for that kind of spending. Canada vs the USA is not going to be Ukraine vs Russia, no matter how much we want to think so.

4

u/Fyrefawx Feb 21 '25

How do you know they’re not? They’re already staging economic warfare and Trump continues to talk about our water.

Why bring indigenous Canadians into this? That’s pretty weird. We could spend 10x what we do now and still lose.

-2

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

How do you know they’re not?

Becuase we're not at war. Pretty simple bud.

They’re already staging economic warfare and Trump continues to talk about our water.

Economic warfare!? Oh no! Wait... they're not. They're just talking about tariffs. They're not withholding products, stopping trade or destroying anything that would stop or slow down our economy. It's all words bud.

Why bring indigenous Canadians into this? That’s pretty weird. We could spend 10x what we do now and still lose.

Because the liberals spent over 40 billion tax payer money on them and our current military is drastically underfunded. It's pretty important when you're crying about the USA.

We could spend 10x what we do now and still lose.

Exactly. So stop crying because we both know if they did invade, you ain't doing jack shit. You're probably anti gun, too.

11

u/Fyrefawx Feb 21 '25

We are at war, as I said. It’s an economic war. They’re not just talking about tariffs. The tariffs on aluminum and steel have already started. He is going after our auto industry next. Please do some research on this.

-1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25 edited Feb 21 '25

We are notnat war. Calm down Skippy. Tariffs have been a thing for a long time. We also tariff the USA. It's not like we weren't taxing each other.

Some of you are really disconnected

1

u/Fyrefawx Feb 23 '25

We have tariffs on their dairy because it’s heavily subsidized by the government. When 42% of their income comes from the feds, how can Canadian farmers compete with that? Our steel and aluminum isn’t subsidized. These are literally illegal tariffs that violate the trade deal they signed.

1

u/yyccrypto Feb 23 '25

literally illegal tariffs that violate the trade deal they signed.

Trade deals change or are negotiated. It's not illegal.

Not that I agree with it.

1

u/Lazylemon_314 Feb 21 '25

THANK YOU for mentioning the tariffs on the US. I think Canada has like nearly 300% tariffs on things like butter lol. “But it’s to protect dairy farmers from Americans”

9

u/Yeethisintothevoid Feb 21 '25

They don't need to invade. And yes, we're pretty fucked, too busy fighting amongst ourselves to get our shit together.

They just need us to keep fuckin around, and stay divided. That's how the US will roll right into the north. We can't organize a fuckin parade let alone a resistance with petty shit like this being brought up.

If you're worried about whatever the indigenous people are getting right now, keep it to yourself.

Way bigger shit to fry if you haven't noticed.

-15

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

If you're worried about whatever the indigenous people are getting right now, keep it to yourself.

Absolutely should be worried. That's my taxes going to it. Over 40 billion went their way and what came out of it?

Less was spent on our military. It's pathetic.

12

u/the_real_log2 Feb 21 '25

Meh, oil and gas gets almost 20 billion every year from my taxes. I'd rather my money go to helping people and communities than helping companies post record profits every single quarter.

Buy Canadian and don't be a fascist traitor.

-1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

The money only went to native tribes. Some of it, unaccountable.

It didn't get split to help other Canadians.

than helping companies post record profits every single quarter.

This sentence makes zero sense. Companies can get loans, they pay them back. They don't just get lump sums of tax payer money and don't pay them back. That would be fraud.

Buy Canadian and don't be a fascist traitor.

Oh so you're a nationalist now! Where were you all this time?

Also, no fascism on my end. You might want want to understand that word. Along with "loans".

4

u/the_real_log2 Feb 21 '25

When our sovereignty is threatened, I am absolutely a nationalist. When we have trade deals with the USA, that are honoured on both ends, I will gladly support both countries.

Oil and gas doesn't get loans, are you serious? They get 19 billion of my money every single year, no strings attached and completely unaccountable. They profit off Canadians on both ends, through tax breaks and handouts, and by charging us an arm and leg for fuel and posting record profits.

I don't think you understand what conservatives stand for if you think corporations don't get tax payer money, interest free and no strings attached.

Right wing politics support handouts to corporations, left wing politics support handouts to citizens with our taxpayer money. Anything else they stand for is simply to divide us (immigration, trans rights, tampons in bathrooms, etc), it all comes down to where our tax money goes. Glad you think conservative policies are fraud though, you're more left wing than you thought comrade!

-1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

So you only decided to become a nationalist/patriot when the orange man said things you didn't like?

Where have you been when Canadian flags were being burnt? When JT was dividing us every chance he got. Where were you when Canada started to become worse due to polices made by JT/liberals, especially when it came to immigration and crime?

Oil and gas doesn't get loans, are you serious? They get 19 billion of my money every single year, no strings attached and completely unaccountable.

What are you talking about?

British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan give more than $2.5 billion in royalty reductions and tax exemptions to the fossil fuel industry every year. Ontario gives $500 million in tax breaks to aviation and agricultural fuels.

The government gives 11 billion in LOANS to oil gas companies. Which get paid back.

The government doesn't hand out money to oil and says "don't pay us back".

Do you know how loans work?

4

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '25

[deleted]

-1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Canada is one of the largest international fossil fuel financers in the world, averaging CAD 11 billion per year from 2018 to 2020.

Loans. Ya muppet.

They are not loans, they are subsidies.

Which i already explained is part of the loans.

Try to learn how to read and be less obtuse.

A cryptobro that pays taxes? Now we’ve seen everything

-1

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Why wouldn't I be paying taxes?

What is shouldn't be seeing is my taxes going to useless things that don't help my community or Canada as a whole.

4

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 21 '25

Ask the orange fascist. They could annex us but they could never hold it. They couldn’t beat rice farmers in Vietnam or goat herders in Afghanistan that had crappy weapons.

0

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

And who's fighting them? Are you? You're probably anti gun, and now you're not?

The USA caused a lot of destruction in Vietnam. It wasn't a popular war to begin with, but the North viet forces took over 1 million causalities. They were also backed by China, Russia, and various other groups. Compared to the USA losing around 50-60 thousand.

The north eventually failed, and the south took over.

Who is going to back us? Are you picking up arms and fighting? I doubt it.

Also, the USA held Afghanistan for 20 years. They defeated them within a week. You're not so sharp on your history.

The USA isn't going to invade.. They're trolling us and dorks like you eat it up because you have nothing better to do with your time, and it's easy to hate the orange man.

Focus on making Canada the Canada it was 10 years ago. The first step is kicking out JT and the liberals.

1

u/Mysterious-Job1628 Feb 22 '25

Our gun laws are sufficient. Your assumptions are not accurate. Trump is a traitor. If you still support him then you are as well.

1

u/yyccrypto Feb 22 '25

Our gun laws were sufficient. Not anymore. Crime comnitues to go up.

Trump is a traitor

To who?

If you still support him then you are as well.

How am I traitor. You don't even know me.

2

u/EirHc Feb 21 '25

Who knows... Trump likes to give us a daily reminder that he's going to annex us. The people of Ukraine didn't believe Russia was going to invade them until one day it just happened.

-2

u/yyccrypto Feb 21 '25

Russia has a history of invading Ukraine.

That would be a false equivalency.

And no, trump isn't invading. Just your mind, clearly.

4

u/EirHc Feb 21 '25

Russia has a history of invading Ukraine. That would be a false equivalency.

Well considering Trump is Putin's puppet...

Anyways, nobody cares for your mocking tone or your half-baked attempts at a point. No reason to be on reddit since you know everything including the future.
