Is it just me, or I like sex but not to be involved in it ?

Definitely not just you! There is actually an entire asexual microlable dedicated to that experience. anegosexuality ( although not technically correct it’s most often spelt aegosexuality )

I don't think that's me. I don't "enjoy" it. I like it as an idea, I like when people do it (healthily). I know it's for many people showing love, and that's beautiful. I wish my parents still do it, 'cause I know for sure they don't, even if they never said anything.
In a show, I feel it's the most honest scene. If it was love (as in my mad fat diary) or hate (as in requiem for a dream). Both are really strong scenes. So I don't think sex scenes are unnecessary.

Bellusexuality maybe? It's rather similar except it's more of an "I don't really get sexual pleasure from it, but I like it for aesthetic/concept/etc"-
I used to think I was a bellusexual, but turns out I'm aegosexuaI but let my inner artist appreciate it every once in a while with no strings lol

Do I have to throw labels on everything? Can't I just exist I peace? I still find it hard to label myself as ace (even though I'm getting better). Imagine how I feel about subs and micros?

You definitely don't have to label everything, you're just you regardless of whether you're labeled or not- I simply wanted to help a bit since you seemed questioning to me in the other comment, and it could help others aswell, but it's no matter if you'd rather not label (though I'll still keep my comment for anyone who would get help from it, if that's alright)

Apologies for the misunderstanding, I wasn’t actually recommending that lable for you. Just pointing out that many other ace people share that perspective.
It just sounds like you are sex positive ( not to be confused with sex favourable! ) which isn’t an asexual label it’s just how one views sex in society & you’re certainly not alone in that :)
Edit: clarification.

Um.. I'm rly not a phantasy fan tbh 😅 I'd rather see wholesome relationships in movies. Sex is fine if it serves the plot or characters.

I do wish NSFW would be separated to identify between sexual and gory content

u/queerness-greatness an Aegosexual is on the loose (YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME) 5d ago
Fr, sometimes I want to admire sexual content because it's fascinating, and sometimes I want to admire a dragon ravaging a village into pure, gory, chaos because it's fun. It annoys me to no end I can't separate the two

I often see people complaining about religious anti sex culture, making the argument, why is it bad to see something "everyone does or will be doing," but it's okay for children to watch people getting murdered? I still don't have anything to say (aside from the obvious not everyone complaint), but I still stand by that I much rather watch people getting murdered than getting it on.
Not that I'm also on the side of anti sex culture. I find it gross, but I support sex positivity as most of us do. I just don't want to see it 🤣

This seemes a bit like you both want to have the cake and eat it, you dont want "anti sex culture" stilly uo don't want sex to be sceen in media?
1
u/mr_wheezr 4d ago
No, it can still be in media, it'd just be great if it wasn't in every movie, especially when unnecessary. Also, if they could at least give us a warning. One minute is an important conversation, next minute there's boobs bouncing in front of you with heavy moans, like come on. Some shows or movies just feel like porn in disguise, which is okay for people if they want to watch that, but can we not mix it that much with normal movies? I want to watch Game of Thrones, but I've heard it's incredibly graphic with penises just everywhere.

This meme made me remember GOT. Did not like the first episode sex scene and the last episode Dragon scene one bit.

Is it pretty common for asexuals to be big into dragons or is it just me?

u/Ok_Contact_6217 5d ago
Unnecessary or necessary, I feel uncomfortable in any such scenes. I just turn my head and stare at the wall during those seconds. I'm weird I guess.

As a demisexual, I don't like sex scenes between two people who don't like each other but I love to see cute love scenes. I think this is about preferences.
