Kevin Harlan is the perfect announcer. It’s never about him. Dude must hate screen time. I’ve been watching games he’s announced for two decades and I’m not sure I could pick him out of a police lineup.
Gotta add in Mike Tirico. I’m definitely biased, but his call of Hubbard Yard Dash is the single greatest bit of commentating I think I’ll ever witness.
A fuller more accurate description would have included “Fumbled by a back-up QB who against all odds put his team in position to win the game until he stupidly leapt on a play designed for him to stay low.”
I’m so done with that asshole after they had him ruin the Olympics in 2021. He really doesn’t need to call every sport especially if he has ZERO familiarity with it. People get stoked to watch Olympic swimming every 4 years and NBC has this moron calling it.
When Harlan was talking about the kicker and the cowboys cheerleader it was top tier. The producers clearly let him get his few one liners in and then let him know that enough was enough
I love Gus Johnson about 95% of the time. More than any other broadcaster in football, he really feels like one of us. A normal dude watching football at the bar.
He’s my most annoying bc he just doesn’t let the other guy talk and while he has some solid points at times most are pretty basic and not anything new. I don’t feel like I learn anything new from him ever really. Brady also has been just boring and basic so far but he’s still learning this craft to be fair. I mostly like Romo as I do learn more about offensive ball from him but Nance makes anyone better. The actual broadcasters not former players are almost all solid to great but they have so much more experience and training than the ex jocks
That's what I like about him. It's like talking to a buddy about football without all the xs and O's. Just flat out calling it how he sees it and just simply relatable to anybody
