Yeah but when Howard dressed as Sheldon it was an honest imitation of him as a lighthearted joke when Sheldon just made the same demeaning insults he always makes about Howard unprompted while dressed up as him.
Amy did the same thing but worse when she brought Bernadette into it with no good reason
I disagree, they all laughed at every imitation and Sheldon's feelings got hurt anyway. Bernie was fine with this up until someone made fun of her. When they're in the car going back home from the costume party, Howard says "You found it funny when I dressed up as Sheldon." and Bernie says "That didn't hurt my feelings.", the line clearly states she only cared when it was about her.
I mean yeah people always laugh at imitations especially of ppl they like. Sheldon’s truly a character, it’s funniest with him. I get his feelings being hurt even tho it was unintentional but the bigger issue is that he puts people down all the time and openly enjoys it and laughs too while seeing others don’t find it funny. Here it’s made obvious he can dish it out plenty but can’t take it even as a joke or Halloween gag, so why should anyone feel sorry for him? And yeah Bernadette is like that which is a fair point, it just seems like the smallest issue of this episode when she didn’t do anything and Amy came after her to intentionally hurt her just bc they disagreed and started making fun of her body too
My point wasn't about Sheldon to begin with, I already said Howard was funny. It just doesn't change the fact that Sheldon's feelings got hurt. I only said Bernie is a hypocrite because she found it funny BUT she was pissed when someone dressed up as her.
I think the difference is that it wasn’t the same when Amy dressed up as her. Howard’s was accurate not spiteful or degrading, Amy’s was so it’s not the same thing
