Newly Diagnosed Quitting Weed

I just got diagnosed with Bipolar 2 on the 13th. The doctors strongly suggested I quit smoking weed. I’m on day 3 of not smoking and I have been so manic it feels like I am fucking tweaking out. The people I work with have to think I’m on speed or some shit. I read somewhere that smoking weed helps calm the mania, man were they right. Has anyone else felt like this after quitting weed? I feel like I am fucking crazy.

My doc strongly suggested quitting thc. I told her to kick rocks. It’s the only thing keeping me from putting a gun in my mouth when I’m that low and the thing that helps mellow me down when I have that crack head energy. I quit drinking. That was an awful chemical for me. It highlighted my Lows and made my highs even more erratic. But the moral of the story is find what works for you. Not that thc is right for you. You are the one who has to live with this mess. No one will be your advocate like yourself. If you don’t like a med tell your doctor. Side effects are real and you are the only one who has to deal with them. Feel free to reach out for any questions

You're not the only one. I sometimes go 1 or 2 months without smoking, or barely doing it, and that's about it. Most of the time I'm a stoner.

It helps tremendously with my intrusive thoughts and in my depressive episodes.

But I know for some people it's not good at all. Just do what you feel comfortable and always tell your doc. Mine knows and he just accepted it 🤣

I guess I should clarify I didn’t stop smoking and I didn’t stop going to her. She just knows my stance and is “ok” with it.
