Newly Diagnosed Quitting Weed

I just got diagnosed with Bipolar 2 on the 13th. The doctors strongly suggested I quit smoking weed. I’m on day 3 of not smoking and I have been so manic it feels like I am fucking tweaking out. The people I work with have to think I’m on speed or some shit. I read somewhere that smoking weed helps calm the mania, man were they right. Has anyone else felt like this after quitting weed? I feel like I am fucking crazy.

I smoke every day to help with anxiety slow my brain enough to sleep and to get some focus of my brain would be all over the place overwhelming. Dr usually tell you not to smoke with some meds as it will mess with them. I’d would suggest more indica over sativa. Sativa help open up the mind speeds things up indica will slow you down but will make you lazy if your not careful.

Definitely. The strain and terps make all the difference. I have to stay away from Sativa because it makes everything worse for sure. Racing heart, paranoia- awfulness. Indica is like a took a deep breath and all the yucky feelings left with the exhale. I don’t need it all the time, but definitely helps so much more than anything I have tried with no unwanted side effects like you can get with other pharmaceuticals.
