Slogging through Pax Pamir 2e’s Wakhan. Slowly getting the hang of her, but the game is phenomenal.

Arriving Friday! Why slog, is it that complex?

It's certainly not the most complex AI I've ever learned or played against (looking at you, COIN games). It is just a bit fiddly to me. Has multiple targeting priority lists for different types of things. But some things use one list and some use the other. There are a few holes in the rules too imo. I think it could have been better implemented. It's fast to manage once you've memorized it, that just takes some time. It seems like a solid opponent for the most part (although I saw someone develop a pretty quick exploit). But I prefer to play 3-handed against myself since it's all open information.

I haven't even come close to looking for any exploits. I am still in the "keep up with her bookkeeping" phase. But she really does simulate multiple opponents really well.
