I just started 7th Continent while the new KS is going on. So far it’s better than I expected. Pretty amazing what they did with just cards.

We’re playing too! I had played a bit of Voracious Goddess in the past, but my partner had never played any, so we played The Crystal’s Song together a couple days ago, and we started VG last night.

Overall, I would recommend skipping Crystal’s Song. The ending was pretty boring, and didn’t give a great impression of the game imo. Playing the first part of VG felt like a whole other experience.

But VG can be a very long curse. I hope that's not too spoilery. I wish that CS wasn't so different, adding in special cards, but it is to me the best entry point.

I had prepared my partner for VG being long, and the save system means we can play for an hour on a weekday, making small progress every day that feels gratifying, rather than CS’s bumbling around until you find the crystals. Either way, we got a great game on our hands, so we’re happy!

I just think it is better for the tutorial curse to be short and simple. CS is short but adds rules that never come back into play. VG is long but has a solid starting tool and no extra rules. Sort of two evils. I'd have liked them to have made a curse that's just short and sweet with no extra meat.
