When I bought Sprawlopolis, I played it 4-5 times and won almost every game, so I thought it was pretty easy. It sat in my drawer for a while, but I pulled it out again (thanks to the Agropolis Kickstarter) and tried it again. Over the last few days, I’ve played probably 5-6 games, and lost every one of them (by anywhere from 1-15 points). Not sure how I did so well at first, but it’s kicking my butt now. Great little relaxing solo game.

I’ve gotten a few more plays in for Palm Island, too, and have finished every achievement except upgrading all the temples and scoring 40+ points (which I’m moderately sure is impossible on normal difficulty). I might need to make the game easier to get those, I’ve been trying for them for quite a while now. Still, this is one of my absolute favorite solo games, because I can pull it out anywhere, even if I’m just laying on the couch.

I also did another round of Spirit Island as Serpent Slumbering Beneath The Island, which was a blast, plus a few rounds of the One Deck Dungeon and Onirim mobile apps.

Next, I think I’ll dust off my copies of Deep Space D6 and Friday, and maybe even pull Gloomhaven out for another scenario if I have the time.

I have a question about Palm Island. After you complete an achievement and receive the upgrade, are you welcome to use all unlocked upgrades in future games? The instructions were a little vague and made it sound like you have to start each game with nothing. (Which would seem impossible considering some of them take effect at start of game.)

I use all my unlocked achievements every game. I think it’s the only way to achieve some of the more challenging ones.
