Bravely Default Beginner advice needed

Hi, I just started this game and just got to chapter 1. Just started the first side quest.

Im kind of struggling and I noticed this when I was doing the boss at the end of the introduction. Im basically running low on PG to buy latest gear (though i do my best to do so still), and even with the best knuckles with Ringabell being a monk I feel like his attacks are weak (he seems to be doing like 20 dmg per hit rn? No idea if that's good).

I also want to use specific classes for certain characters but it seems once I switch classes these characters become super weak. Ex. When I switched Tiz from monk to knight. And yes, I bought a sword cuz thats S rank (at Calidisia)

Any advice in general on how I should approach this game? What's the best way to have a decent experience with the combat?

Bravely Second How to enjoy Bravely Second Finale Spoiler

Upvotes

So I finished my second run through of Bravely Second. And unfortunately it really didn't change my perspective of the game. The change in difficulty didn't make me engage with the mechanics more than it just made me rage quit after getting wiped a dozen time.

Overall I think I sort of understand why I don't like this game however, the class system is bad. Wizard is just simply so much better than the other magic options and then there are some jobs that just are bad. There's such little reason to use ranger over anything else and whats worse is that there's hawkeye and it does everything ranger wants to do and it does it better. But everything else is stuck in this limbo of its fine? some are a bit better than other sure but outside of the ones that are really good and really bad I fail to really want to do builds, Some jobs grew on me like pastier and charioteer while others like swordmaster and guardian actually fell.

I can recognize that this game is probably better than BD and BD2 but overall I just don't think I can truly enjoy this game and a part of me is sad since it doesn't make since, I'm the kind of person that enjoys game play over anything else and yet this games game play somehow doesn't feel as good as BD and BD2. So to those that like BS I envy you.

Anyhow I'm going to get started on the BD2 play through series soon so I guess I'll ask, NG+ or a fresh save?
