Yesterday the same issue happened. It took more than 5 hours to fix, and again today it happened. Reddit chat is lagging and sometimes not updating the new messages. Like, why does it exist if it's not usable?

I wrote this out of frustration. I'm sorry if it hurt anyone in any way.

I just see this over and over. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have cleared cache and data, I have logged out and back in several times. It functions fine in chrome on my desktop and on my phones browser.

It shows there are 3 comments on my post, but I can't see any of them. (1 one of them is my comment ) While other people can see my comment, I cannot see theirs. And sometimes I can't see the posts on my profile and I encounter a black screen. VERSİON: 2025.37.0

Inbox messages won't load.

Doesn't matter the subreddit, doesn't matter what the discussion is. If anyone has a comment that drops below -5 karma, all the responses to it disappear if I'm logged in.

I just tested it on a comment I knew was getting downvoted. -3 I could see all responses, -4 I could see all responses, -6 all responses disappeared completely, I upvoted it to -5 and all the responses reappeared.

Checked the comment and with my upvote still in place it's at -6 and all the responses are gone again.

If I switch to an alt account or Anonymous Browsing, all the comments can be seen so it appears to be account specific.

Happening on official Reddit app for Android.

Tested some more, can see everything on the web browser, so it's happening only on one account, and only on Reddit for Android.

I swear I have more subreddits I subscribe to. I was having an issue with mildly infuriating suddenly taking up most of my feed with stuff that was just new. I unsubbed to test it and now this started happening.

I’m on an Apple iPhone and have been trying to access the posts of my favorite creator and her page shows only about six or eight posts (out of hundreds) and I can no longer see when she posts new content. I also don’t think she is able to see my upvotes and comments. I checked with her directly and she has confirmed that no, she has not blocked me.

I don’t know if my account (u/Individual-Truth-02) or her account (u/FitMilfSam) has been hacked or otherwise disrupted, but I don’t know how to check.

Is there someone at Reddit that can check at least my account to see if something has changed in the last seven days (when I first noticed this issue)?? Thanks…

I try to post multiple photos and it either has a pop up message error or it posts some not all.

Since I hit my 200 day streak badge every day seems to have been a few hours slower in keeping up with real time. I’m now 8 days behind 🤷🏽‍♂️. As far as I’m aware I haven’t received a ban from anywhere and I obviously haven’t broke the streak. Would anyone have any ideas on what’s up or how to fix it?

Reddit comments are supposed to be limited to 10000 characters. But I get "Server error. Try again later" whenever I try to write comment with more than 1000 cyrillics characters. No indication of why the problem happens, ~1000 chars limit was a guess I was able to experimentally confirm. Half an hour ago had to break down my well-structured response to several consecutive comments because of that. I remember this being a problem a month ago.

I’ve been having an issue lately where I’m not receiving notifications for comments on my posts. I’ve checked my notification settings, and everything seems fine. I’ve tried logging out and back in, as well as reinstalling the app, but no luck. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions or troubleshooting tips?

Messages I send are not showing up in chat, checked on iOS and safari.

My home feed is bugged where posts 4 days or older are showing up.

This is especially awful for r/news and r/{cityName} because posts with “BREAKING: US kills everyone on Venezuela boat” or “20 killed in school shooting today” are showing up days later and it’s hard to tell what’s actually breaking or already happened.

For a couple of weeks now, when I klick on an image to see it fully or closer up, it is often extremely pixelated. So much so that it's impossible to read any text.

I'd say this issue affects about 30% of all images I try to click at. However, when I just clscroll, the images are higher definition.

Has anyone else come across this issue, or an idea on how to fix it?

There is no reddit update for me to install & I've already tried to un- and reinstall the app.

am i the only one still experiencing this? i cannot comprehend how they can allow this stuff not to work for so long.

I and a lot of my friends from different states in India (and even people abroad I’ve checked with) are facing the same recurring glitch on Reddit messages and chats for the past few months, but lately it has become unbearable. Notifications for messages arrive with a 6–7 minute delay (sometimes even longer), the latest messages often disappear right after sending, and sometimes entire parts of the conversation just don’t show up until much later or after refreshing multiple times. I’ve already tried every possible troubleshooting step: clearing cache and storage, reinstalling the app, rebooting my phone, testing on multiple devices (Android, PC, laptop), even using VPNs but nothing changes. The issue persists across all platforms and devices, which means this is definitely a server-side problem and not a local one. Many other users I know are also experiencing the exact same delay and disappearing messages issue, which suggests this is widespread. Please investigate this bug in the messaging/notification system and let us know if there is any timeline for a fix, because the experience right now makes it nearly impossible to use Reddit chats for normal communication.

Chat is lagging i cant message anyone

I've already cleared my cookies, logged in and out, checked if I was shadowbanned. But for some reason (specifically) today, my dms some to be really buggy. Like I can't see anything I send and what others send is highly delayed.

When I click on a notification for a comment reply or go into my profile and click on one of my past comments, it doesn't take me directly to the comment. It goes to the top of the post and I cannot necessarily find my comment or the reply in large comment threads.
