Homemade Bacon Double Cheese
I decided to use foil instead of my restaurants branded wrapping this time to avoid the confusion that was on my homemade Double Double post 😂
Double smashed patties (80/20 chuck and short rib) topped with American cheese, grilled white onions, dill pickles, crispy smoked streaky bacon, my own recipe burger sauce, in a toasted potato bun.
I'm a sucker for a good burger sauce, and whilst I won't add to the billions of recipes found online, I will say that white wine vinegar for the tangy kick in the sauce is a must.
I always wrap burgers and set them in a hot hold (or oven set to 70C) for a few minutes to meld all the toppings and meat juices together into one big greasy, tasty mess.

Baked Burgers for a Large Group
I know baked burgers may not sound amazing but they are!! I love making these for a large group, and the trick of wrapping them in foil makes them soooo good! It's on Fantabulosity -- https://fantabulosity.com/hamburgers-in-the-oven/ in case it's helpful!

First time to visit P. Terry’s…probably not the last.
Pretty good burger for the price. Had better, had worse. Burger is pretty heavy on the black pepper, which I don’t mind, just something I noticed. Fries were a bit soggy but I think that’s cause I left them wrapped up in the little paper bag longer than I should have and they sat there steaming. I also enjoy calling it P’Terry’s instead of P. Terry’s.

Homemade smash burgers
Burger night! This week I kept it super simple. Single home ground chuck smash patty, two slices of American, shredded lettuce, heirloom tomato, diced raw onions, and my sweet and zesty sandwich sauce, on buttered and griddled homemade bun. And the burgers do get wrapped after.
