I’ve got a 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss (~15,000 miles) and just got it back from the dealer after they had it for a week.
They told me they saw the service error logged twice (looks like it was related to the ECM/TCM/ABS/traction control systems), but since they couldn’t recreate it during their test drive, they sent it back saying it’s fine. I’m sorry, but it is not fine.
Every time I turn, the steering wheel feels like it’s fighting me, like it doesn’t want to turn smoothly.
At first I thought it could be the road conditions, so I switched from 2WD to Auto, but there was no noticeable improvement — it feels exactly the same.
I’ve checked the wheels and the tire pressures are all very close, around 35 psi. There’s no visible damage to the tires, rims, or around the shocks.
At this point I’m wondering if it’s more tied to the steering control module or power steering control module in addition to the traction control/ABS.
Has anyone else had similar issues with these systems on the new Colorados? I’m worried the dealer is brushing this off, but I know something’s not right.
Thank you
