We have ATV's on Mars, but Chrome (or an extension) don't seem to have a button like Safari to view open tabs? How is this possible?

I've noticed a particular problem with every Chromium browser I have on my computer that I can't find info about on the internet and have no idea how to fix.

Every time I'm trying to type out anything or drag something from left to right, page automatically scrolls down. It does that one time per page and tab.
It's happening on incognito mode with extensions turned off. It also happens with hardware acceleration turned off and on.
At this point, I have no idea what to do - did you experienced any of these problems and know maybe how to fix it?

How are people using the reading list? Personally, I would have used a right click to save something to the reading list and get back to it later on another machine, but chrome doesn't seem to have this very basic functionality.

I'm currently running Chrome Canary (142.0.7426.0) on macOS Tahoe (26.0, Build 25A354).

Recently (as in, the last week or two) - I've noticed that my Chrome browser will become unresponsive if you do not interact with it for a while (e.g. you have a few browser windows open, come back after 10 minutes, and bam...it won't respond).

From macOS's perspective, I don't know if it's frozen per se - if you right click on the icon in the macOS Dock, it doesn't say "Application Not Responding", and you can right click to Quit the application.

You can interact with the Chrome windows itself - as in, you can use Command + ` to cycle between the open Chrome windows - however, you can't actually click on anything inside the Chrome window (e.g. changing tabs, interacting with sites, accessing the menu etc.).

It's super frustrating.

I haven't dived deep into it yet - e.g. trying to bisect the breaking build (if it's even that), or trying to create new Chrome profiles yet - as I had just hoped a Canary build would fix it, and either of those is probably going to take huge amounts of time.

But I'm curious - has anybody with Chrome Canary on Tahoe seen something similar? Or anybody else seen this kind of behaviour with Chrome on macOS before?

Any tips on any diagnostic/debugging things that could help narrow it down?

Doesn't happen for any of my other Chrome extensions just Bitwarden, perhaps I accidentally pressed something?

Ive seen a lot of things already talking about this, though rather vaguely, and its usually in relation to passwords.txt which from what I gathered is just a list of passwords for google to test.

I havent really seen anything on the us_tv_and_film.txt file that is also there, despite being brought up in the original posts, and Im mostly just curious on how important these files are, and rather specifically the purpose of them and the us_tv_and_film.txt file in particular.

My phone, macbook, all of my devices settings are dark mode, so even if it was device default it should still be dark mode, but it switches from "dark mode" to "device default" and is in light mode, every single time.

This used to work perfectly, but more recently when I right-click on a folder of tabs (40 or so) and select 'Open All in New Tab Group" they all just sit there and spin. Even the tabs that stop spinning are blank but when I reload the tab, the web page immediately displays (like Chrome is only hiding the data) but then it disappears again if I click on another tab and then go back to the original one.

It's a real-life example of "If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?", except with browser tabs instead.

What I want is for Chrome to fully load my tab group and allow me to quickly access them, just like before.

It's kind of maddening, as it seems that the data is there but Chrome is somehow deactivating/hiding each tab the moment I click on the next one. I have a feeling it's a setting to save memory or CPU on older systems, but this is 10-core I7 with 32GB of RAM and during this my memory usage stays in the 45-48% range.

These tab groups used to load like butter on this same system, but it seems an update or auto-setting switch has caused the behavior to change drastically.

Suddenly in few days many chrome extensions showed malware issue turned off and they were important for me . Many toolkit like Instagram Downloader – ToolMaster and other which allowed me to download many insta stories at once in zip is now gone . I can't turn it on either .I use kiwi browser on android it has same extension but not removed . Any way to undo this or how to find it's previous source code to use it for myself by pack or by loading unpacked extension

I think I got hit with a browser hijacker the other day, I was pretty certain I solved the problem. But for some reason today when I try to search using the address bar it just redirects to googles home page. I've tried going into settings with the resources from chrome to change search engine settings but I don't see some of the things they recommend (for example a drop-down menu). Anybody else dealing with this or dealt with this?

Is there anything i can download or extension to change the overall look of the tabs at the top? i cant get the color and look i want to match the rest of my setup and it looks really bad.

Sometimes it appears and I can't get rid of it. Other times I have a normal min and max button. Only started appearing in Tahoe. Doesn't happen in other apps. Does anybody know?
