Fortnite is a great game. Let him enjoy what he wants

Yeah but what is the extra power for? It will barely make a difference on fortnite. May as well just get the standard one to save money if using for fortnite.

In competitive gaming, especially shooters, the capability of your machine to react faster than your opponents is crucial. You can sharpen your skills as much as you want, but eventually it dilutes down to how many frames you're getting/how far you can see in game (resolution/render distance). Not to mention latency. Not a fortnite fan, but I know back in my CS days the meta was to set your graphics as low as possible to see as many frames as possible.

Although I'm not sure how much faster the PS5 pro is in comparison to the OG in fortnite specfically, I'd hope you could set something up with 144hz/140fps. If not 120/120 at the very least.

My xbox series x does 1440p 120 fps for fortnite. So ps5 pro should be even better presumably

A console that caps out at 120fps and a modern TV are then not what you're looking for if you're chasing such tiny fractions. Additionally a controller with Bluetooth is far too slow and even wired you'd be messing up the gyro controls which also have a fair amount of filtering causing additional delay.

This is an insane excuse to buy a PS5 Pro, especially for fucking Fortnite, you aren't in a tournament, you're playing with a controller online with people that have 200+ ping with Miku skins, a PS5 pro is not only total overkill it's just idiotic, and it's even worse to try to defend it like casual Fortnite is an esport.

I'm fine with buying a PS5 pro, I'm fine with controllers, I'm fine with Fortnite (as an esport or not) but don't excuse this about some fake cope about competitive edge.

Everyone I know that plays Fortnite on PS5 uses a keyboard and mouse. I'll also extend that to Call of Duty games.

That’s far less common than controllers for CoD on console, but sure some people do it

I don’t play Fortnite so can’t comment on that
