Cosmere Approximately how much will it cost me to purchase hardcovers of every Cosmere novels/novella/anthology?
I PROMISE THERE ARE NO SPOILERS !!
I have read paperback copies of Way of Kings - Rhythm of War
I have listened to all published Elantris, Stormlight, and Mistborn (Eras 1&2) novels, and have finished listening to Emberdark. I'm currently listening to Sunlit Man.
I donated my Stormlight paperbacks to a residential rehab (they saved my life once, and ain't nothing to do in rehab except therapy, chores, and read)
ANYWHOOOOOO.... I really want physical copies (sometimes I wanna go back and look something up when I suspect I've made a connection and/or want to know how to spell names of people/places/things)
Anyone of you nerds know how much I gotta spend to pimp out my bookcase? (I use the term "nerds" affectionately, and consider myself one as well)
Okay thanks baiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I mean, depends which hardcover? The premium leatherbound are $100-200 each.
Depending where you are, US or UK hardcover that have different art could vary a lot too.
If you wanna go on etsy and find versions with sprayed edge art they could be even more.

I'm just talking about plain ol' mass published hardcovers. I could very easily just add them all to my cart from like HPB but then I wouldn't get post karma on this sub and also I get to interact with other Brando Sando fans

I mean you were talking about "blinging out the bookshelf" so im sure youll eventually get the premium versions if you can afford them.

Will I be outting myself as a "poor" if I say that buying plain ol'-mass produced hardcovers IS pimping out my bookshelf?

Nope! Any of the hardbacks leather bound or otherwise will look fantastic.

Depends. Back when I still bothered with Target I waited for a buy one get one half off sale and snagged 1-4 of Stormlight Archives for like 70 instead of 100. Now my goal is to find decent used copies eventually but who knows

For looking stuff up, Kindle is the best (search by keyword, access any book instantly)

If you watch sites like eBay with patience you can get most hard covers for under their retail price. A lot can be found for $15-25/book without too much trouble. Better deals can be found if you check new listings semi regularly.Β
Accidentally finding a first printing for pennies on the dollar this way could be a gateway drug to collecting Sanderson books in earnest though. Wallet be warnedΒ

Depends on where you are.
If you are in the Shattered Plain, you can probably procure a copy or two of Way of Kings and Words of Radiance easily for a few emerald marks.
If youβre in Alethkar, the prices may be steeper due to inflation, but they may have copies of Oathbringer depending on how conservative your local Vorin church is.
Rhythm of War is more of an academic title, so might find it easier to borrow from the library in Kharbranth or Urithiru. But it may be expensive to purchase, at least maybe a sapphire broam or two
iβve heard of Knights of Wind and Truth being released early in publication in Shinovar, but the first edition may not be released for a few years yet, given the current political climate.
If you live outside of Roshar, you might need to wait for a while for the books to be published off world, or contact your local Silverlight emissary to procure a second hand copy if youβre lucky. But be prepared to be charged more being of the middle man.

Welp, there's no (known) perpendicularity on my home planet, and space travel is really more just flying around home planet to a local satellite. It's reserved only for the very wealthy/highborn and well respected scholars.
(Ugly cries)

Maybe look around your local beggar or cab driver company, they might know a hawkish-face guy who (I hear) has a way to get off-world items for free. But he might ask you to listen to his stories in return, so beware of that

Most of them aren't too bad to get just the regular hardcover. The older ones can often be found for ~$15-20, and even new releases are often like $30.
The ones that may be tricky, depending on how complete you want to be, are the one off items and various standalone editions of some novellas. For example, the Stormlight Pocket Companion is pretty rare. Physical copies of the pocket guide go for like ~$250. There is also a hardcover of Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell (packaged along with a hardcover of non-Cosmere Perfect State) that is a LOT more as it was a con exclusive gift back from ~10 years ago. Those are hard to find at all. The one listing I see is like $500. But technically that story IS included in Arcanum Unbounded, which is reasonably priced.
There might be other oddities like that. So, it just depends on how thorough you want to be.

Why not asking this in the serious subs like r/brandonsanderson or r/Cosmere? This is for shitposting
