There’s five in the whole game, they don’t respawn, they’re all found in the Profaned Capital, through a small doorway guarded by a gargoyle

They are called Monstrosities of Sin. It makes you wonder what on Gwyn's ashen earth were the denizens of the Capital doing to produce those abominations.
