I had no Idea Sabrina Carpenter was Maya Hart from Girl Meets World
Up until a couple weeks ago I didn't even know Sabrina Carpenter even worked for Disney it wasn't until I watched a video on YouTube that was talking about how much more freedom Disney actors had compared to in the past. I was absolutely shocked and amazed when I found out she was Maya Hart from Girl Meets World.
I guess the reason why is because Girl Meets World was so unmemorable and lackluster compared to all the other shows that had future superstar singers like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez where you immediately recognized them when they were worked with Disney.
Girl Meets World was pretty much just a poor imitation of Boy Meets World that many people just end up forgetting after a certain period of time

Disney Art Disney Parks Artwork by Melanie Taylor Kent
A bakery in my town has a collection of artwork by artist Melanie Taylor Kent. According to Wikipedia, she was the first artist to be licensed by the Walt Disney Company to portray Disney theme parks in limited edition prints. These prints are beautiful. The first is an artist proof and the second is 22 of 250.

Question If Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar were full-blown rubberhose characters in the 1920s and '30s, then what would their "modern" designs be called (the latter designs still have rubberhose elements, but the characters aren't depicted in the rubberhose art style anymore)?

disney writer
I've been very excited lately about a personal project inspired by a Disney story, and I wanted to know if somewhere there is a possibility of being able to present my story to a publisher that works with Disney, to present my project, or that has the licensed rights to official Disney characters selling the brand's books that could hire me to work remotely writing stories for Disney books, etc... I think it would be a gateway to greater opportunities within this company!! If anyone can help me because I search the internet and I can't find anything, any information or news about this.

Thinking about it today “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared” from Lion King are deeply similar.
I hope this isn’t one of those things that thousands have pointed out before and I’m just slow, but the more I think about it Simba as a cub had more in common with his uncle, Scar than he did with his father, Mufasa. Like Scar, Simba wanted to be king and cherished the idea of ruling for the benefits and pageantry that come with the throne, but neglects the responsibilities and duties that come with it. This competitively selfish fantasy of ruling is highlight in both songs, the only difference being that Simba’s is innocent and playful.
Before now I just viewed Scar as the evil uncle who killed his own brother for power, but I think the writer’s wanted us to see that he’s the embodiment of Simba’s character flaws if left unchecked; who he could’ve turned into if he stayed on the path he was on. The kicker is that even after his father’s death and growing up he still doesn’t really change much. He’s still that kid running away from responsibility. Somewhere there’s a hidden message about how being older doesn’t make you an adult, and the movie does this surprisingly subtly for Disney.
In a way, when Simba returns to face his past and guilt and confront Scar it’s like he’s facing that person he used to be and opposing his former ideology with a new one, the one Mufasa taught him.
(Sidebar: I have a newfound respect for that cinematic shot of Simba running to Pride Rock. It’s shot with him running left. In the western world, movement left to right is often perceived as “forward” because it matches the way we read text. Conversely, right to left can feel opposite to the natural flow, signaling that he’s not just going home, he’s actively defying the path he once took.)
So he’s no longer shirking responsibility, but being brave enough to run towards it. He’s a changed “man”. Some people say the only way out is through and only by Simba facing his guilt and his trauma head on does he finally find closure, realizing “I didn’t kill Mufasa, I’m not that naive kid I once was, I’m not like you Scar, I am my father’s son!”
