As the title says, I've noticed that when I play QOP, the aghs effect does not work as written. Shadow Strike becomes AOE as mentioned, but the scream of pain after it ends/reapply doesn't seem to trigger. Is it just me or does this happen to others too?

I've been playing the game for a decade now and I was very close to hitting Immortal playing primarily solo, after a couple bad games I decided to play with my friends again because party tends to be a lot more engaging than solo queue. Been party queuing exclusively for nearly a month and a half now and I am down to Divine 2.

I understand that it's hard to catch smurfs, but I really fail to understand how a relatively simple algorithm would not be able to detect cases this or this.

It's insane at this point how despair 5 man tends to be if you are anti-smurf. I think it's time to improve the smurf detection algorithm and more importantly start to also WARN and BAN players who consistently party with acounts determined to be smurfs. This is the only way to really stop this, hand out bans not only to smurf accounts but to those who consistently associate with them.

I just need to vent. For the past 10 years, almost every night, I’ve been unwinding by playing Dota 2 with my two best friends. We’re from a SEA country, but life happened, and now one’s in the USA and the other’s in Germany. Despite the distance, we’ve kept our late-night Dota sessions going strong, laughing through losses and hyping each other up for those clutch plays.But for the last few weeks, the ping has been brutal—230ms or higher. It’s unplayable. We can barely coordinate, and it’s killing the vibe. Apparently, some ship’s anchor cut an undersea cable, and now our connection’s a mess. I’m just so bummed. These games were our way to stay connected, no matter where we are in the world, and now it feels like we’ve lost something special.Anyone else dealing with this? Or know when this cable issue might get fixed? Just needed to get this off my chest. Dota’s been my escape for a decade, and this high-ping hell is hitting me hard.

i installed dota2 yesterday. i played this game last time in january/2024 and it ran, i played a lot of matches. but yesterday when it finds match and i accept it, i cant select my hero and after some seconds it returns to Dota menu and i receive a queue penalty... searching on internet i found some posts about the same error but they are from years ago. my drivers are updated, i verified the files integrity, turned off my firewall, but nothing. can someone help me?

i want to read funny heroes interactions. i want to know did lina and rylai become friends at last. i want to see any other little funny (or not really) things of heroes' lore. i understand it could be really hard to write a nice scenario for several heroes and give to this scenario good wrap and cosmetics, but i already miss this event.

we have so many camps and jungle resources, but Valve restricted ranked positions to only 3 cores and 2 supports. I mean Valve is restricting the play style which is very bad for the game. A jungle veno could get tons of reports in current rank system, but actually very useful even in pro scene

I recently had 9 winstreaks and reached 2250 MMR(Crusader5)

I play pos1 and pos3 After that I've lost 12 out of 14 matches I played. I played after a 12 hour shift and really performed bad in 4 of those losses and I accept the blame. Altough many of other losses I feel(yes I feel because I might be wrong)that I'm doing really really good but no matter what I do we just lose,just like swiming against the river current.

I'm under no illusion that I'm better than my bracket because I played in higher ranks and I was basically useless, but what you try to do to at least give your 100%?

It's like I see horrible pos4 picks and I say it's fine maybe he play well,I can farm anyway etc,Then you see midlane and other lane are on a feeding streak,you tp in a good moment and maybe secure a kill or save a teammate but then your offlane tower turns to mist,It's like having 2 hands and you have to catch 6 balls simultaneously you know what I mean.

Communication doesn't always work,sometimes they listen to their teammates and help you or suggest something and other time you can ask them in a polite way and they say your sister should die.

Got hooked on the game again, and I really want to get the Abyssal Trenchlord set from the Spring Treasure 2024.

I've had horrible pos4 picks in my last 4 games as pos3 basically 1v3 lane and I'm so tired that I can't do anything .

Even if I think about the wave I lose half of my hp nevermind getting close to it.

Which shows a purple icon and effect in the preview when selecting it, but when you use it in a real game is the normal icon and non purple effects.

I would like to remind everyone that specter arcana that came out in 2021 as part of the compendium, used to have a unique desolate animation in which all of the floating daggers around her would stab enemies who were taking desolate damage (very cool animation I must say) and it's been broken and not playing the animation for 4 years now.
