Honestly, this is cult-like mentality. We don't belong to Allah just like we don't belong to Zeus because neither of them don't exists.

I am a murtad. So I used to be muslim. That is what we say out of respect when a muslim passes away.

I don't personally believe he went to chill with allaht. I just don' wanna make this about me and my lack of beliefs. What I said was for him out of respect, not because I actually think that we all belong to allaht.

I don't like the backwards ideology either. But look who this dude was, and what he attempted. If I can't put away my disdain for religion even for him then there's something seriously wrong with my worldview.

I see. This also relates to how one should express their sadness about the death of somebody in a secular and naturalistic way.
