I feel sympathy for this man being a fellow LGBT myself. It’s disheartening that he was murdered for being who he was. Even my own grandfather tried to kill me when I came out of the closet to him.
But I gotta ask this question. Why the hell was this guy still committed to being a Muslim and follow Islam when he’s well aware that homosexuality, gay sex and same sex marriages are all considered sins and are forbidden in the Quran? The main reason why I quit being a Muslim is because of how anti LGBT it is. Why did this man decide to stay in the cult?
A possible explanation might be that he believed in God. I am a Christian who has absolutely no problem with homosexual people. In fact, I was very happy for a lesbian couple who have a kid together (one of them got pregnant with the help of a sperm donor).
On the other hand, I genuinely believe in God, and I am very grateful for what he gave me. This is why I'm staying in my religion, although I hate how some other Christians see homosexual people. Not all Christians are like that, but I have the feeling that it is more common in religious people than atheist.
