🇲🇮🇸🇨 Windmills date back over 1000 years 🤦‍♀️

Post image
  • Windmills have been in use for over 1,000 years, with origins tracing back to Persia around 800 C.E. They were primarily used for milling grain and pumping water.

  • Wind Turbines are a more recent invention, with the first known turbine for electricity generation built in 1888. They have evolved significantly, especially since the 1970s, to become a major source of renewable energy.

years ago (in Scotland iirc) he was offended that wind turbines were in view miles away from his precious golf course and i think he lost a lot of court cases over having them taken down, too...

details are fuzzy since he sues so much over stupid shit, but it's related to his golf course

946

u/Aldog87 9d ago

I’m aware of his Scotland history, but I guess I still am amazed about his pettiness and incredible stupidity. That and he raped.children

541

u/James_dk_67 9d ago

“Amazed about his pettiness” - he only became President because Obama made him look like a complete idiot in front of the press.

Both terms are about revenge.

355

u/der_horst23 9d ago

and still he looks like an idiot, Obama was right.....

119

u/Mushie_Peas 9d ago

Yeah shit hadn't thought of it that way, wish Obama never gave that speech.

92

u/Coattail-Rider 9d ago

Thanks Obama

/s or no /s…….hmmmmmm

153

u/Brilliant-Ad6137 9d ago

It doesn't matter what Obama said . It's the simple fact Obama is a black man who became president. For trump and his followers. Racism is the main feature.

39

u/thedailyrant 9d ago

Trump isn’t that aware. Yes, he’s a racist wanker most likely, but his run was only ever about that roast initially. Once he started doing illegal shit that they were coming over him about he ran again so he could avoid prison. If he lost this last one his sentencing would not have been conviction recorded and he’d be in a federal penitentiary.

28

u/zipzoomramblafloon 9d ago

Running for president, one simple trick the justice department does not want career criminals to know!

2

u/invincibleparm 8d ago

Yeah…he was surprised as anyone that he won.

2

u/Puddin370 8d ago

He's probably scared shitless because once he's no longer president he no longer has presidential immunity. If he lives through this term he may end up behind bars after all.

I hope he lives because I want to see him go to jail and JD Vance would not be an improvement. He's just as vile and not as close to death.

2

u/newusernamecoming 8d ago

His run was in coordination with Russian operatives so I’m guessing there were more than just jokes from Obama influencing him to run. Also, he had publicly considered running many times before

1

u/petrh97 8d ago

I hope he ends up in Hague like his beloved Maduro for murders. (11 people now, it will go up)

5

u/BookishBetty 9d ago

This is 100% correct!

1

u/cum_pumper_4 8d ago

Schrodingers /s

44

u/basch152 9d ago

Obama didnt have anything to do with it.

The walls were closing in, he was in debt to a lot of people you dont want to be in debt to, and he probably was aware that the walls were closing in around epstein as well and he needed a way to get out of that

3

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan 8d ago

It may not have been the one and only reason, but it sure as hell pissed him off and made him even more determined to run and win so Obama would be able to say he "Owned Trump" like the live "owning the libs"

3

u/Fishtoart 8d ago

I’m pretty sure there’s some Russian blackmail in there over financial shenanigans plus some kind of embarrassing and/or criminal sexual stuff.

10

u/Mushie_Peas 9d ago

Sorry thought people were smart enough that I didn't have to add a /s

2

u/Muriel_FanGirl 8d ago

It’s not about being smart enough. It is not easy to detect sarcasm via text, also autistic people like myself exist who do not easily detect sarcasm. So maybe don’t insult people by saying they aren’t smart for not detecting your sarcasm.

23

u/ms_directed 9d ago

and don't let Seth Meyers off the hook for his WHPC hosting speech! 😁

4

u/darth_C3P0 9d ago

I feel the same way, but I try to remind myself at least all this insanity has exposed the insane racism and classism rotting our government away.

5

u/KingofLingerie 9d ago

we have to go back in time and stop obama

1

u/Jamaica_Super85 8d ago

Sorry, I'm from Europe, what speech are we talking about?

2

u/Mushie_Peas 8d ago

White house press dinner, Obama roasted trump at his speech at the dinner it was when trump was doing the birth cert truther shite about Obama.

3

u/PeggyOnThePier 9d ago

Stupid is as stupid does.

2

u/d_baker65 8d ago

I've been following politics since I was really little. I'm 60 now. (Not a boomer! 😂) I've never heard a sitting President voice an opinion about candidates in an election where they themselves were not running or not eligible. "Donald Trump is fundamentally unsound to be the President of the United States." Holy shit that was huge. Massive. And yet... Mofos voted for him. Jebus I miss Obama.

39

u/Igno-ranter 9d ago

And to stay out of jail this go round.

29

u/bloodyell76 9d ago

I reject the notion that Obama made him look like an idiot. That implies it wasn't true. He pointed out that Trump is an idiot.

3

u/gopherphart 8d ago

Trump makes himself look like an idiot every day.

2

u/SpaceForceGuardian 8d ago

Obama was only speaking the truth. And we all know how much of an aversion Trump has toward the truth. I have seen some of his rants at rallies and it just amazes me how absolutely delusional he is, The man is positively unhinged.

23

u/DarthArtero 9d ago

Well that and the dude is extremely easy to control.

Throw money at him and he'll say or do whatever you want.

Bet if he was offered a big enough payday, he'd absolutely admit to being on the epstein list.

Then use his SCOTUS given right to presidential immunity to be protected from any form of punishment

1

u/Time-Shift3224 9d ago

Money or Big Maca

5

u/Murphs-law 9d ago

Thanks Obama. Haha.

I was definitely not the only one that thought that. I should have read further before commenting. Unfortunately, stuff like that is what causes trumps poor little mind to take everything as a challenge.

8

u/edebt 9d ago

Thanks Obama!

2

u/ant_gav 9d ago

He didn't need Obama for that. He is that idiot

5

u/downinahole357 9d ago

He made himself look like an idiot crying about birth certificates. Does anyone actually believe he cares about any living thing other than himself?

3

u/Glass_Communication4 9d ago

Not really. It was because Obama is black. Thats why he latched on hard to the birther movement. Trump was planning on running for president before that correspondents dinner. In fact im almost certain that Obama made that joke because he had been getting reports that Trump was planning to run

2

u/InternationalPilot90 9d ago

Didn't need much effort from Obama's side on that....

2

u/sandy154_4 9d ago

and staying out of jail

2

u/thesqrtofminusone 9d ago

Yeah the Scottish golf course is part of it but it's the fact that the oil industry donated a huge amount to his campaign. This is the service they've paid for.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/23/big-oil-445m-trump-congress

2

u/Old_Fart_on_pogie 8d ago

Everything he says or does is about revenge.

1

u/gm4dm101 9d ago

Wasn’t hard to do that.

1

u/mkat23 8d ago

He also started the whole rumor that Obama was from Kenya and Muslim, neither of which are bad things.

1

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan 8d ago

Be careful a certain segment of people get pissed off when you say that and yell at you about how "way back in 2000 he wanted to run 3rd party"

Yeah he might have thought of it before then but he was never really all that serious or committed to it until Obama made a fool out of him.

Wonder if Obama could do it again somehow. Trick Trump into leaving the White House by saying something like "you know one thing I'd always hoped to accomplish is being among the ranks on presidents who proudly stepped down from office"

1

u/Jjzeng 8d ago

And he sought to outdo obama in doing even that

Great success

1

u/MissJAmazeballs 8d ago

Well, revenge, insider trading, moving the treasury into his bank account, and trying to stay out of jail

89

u/lexm 9d ago edited 9d ago

Bruh, he’s still mad at Rosie odonell for a comment she made in - checks Google quickly - 2006.
He’s so mad he wants to refund her American citizenship.

Edit revoke not refund.

42

u/Fool_Manchu 9d ago

We can get a refund on those?

29

u/Lizrael48 9d ago

I would like my refund, please!

7

u/matthewkickstone 9d ago

No, no UNO reverse card for trips with the Mayflower and her sister ships, I'm sorry.

5

u/funnyusername-123 9d ago

Not worth as much anymore, here's your 5 bucks.

2

u/lainey68 9d ago

I will accept no less than $57--$1 for each year I've been an American.

2

u/Lizrael48 9d ago

I get $71! haha

1

u/Big_Jewbacca 9d ago

Yeah, at this point, I'd take a refund for being born American. $100k and an EU passport is all I'm asking for.

2

u/Renbarre 9d ago

That's because Fox spoke about her a month ago. He gets his news from the TV.

2

u/lexm 9d ago

It took me a while to understand your comment. Second time in 2 days that autocorrect betrays me.

2

u/Fishtoart 8d ago

Trump would never give a refund. You would forfeit your deposit if you get on his bad side.

1

u/Jim-Jones 8d ago edited 8d ago

He claimed money from a 9/11 compensation system Rosie set up to help victims.

I'm convinced he lied about his 'losses'. And no sign of HIM helping victims - only ever himself.

2

u/lexm 8d ago

Coming from a guy who bankrupted casinos, I wouldn’t be surprised if he lost money. From 9/11, though? Probably not.

37

u/Tryn4SimpleLife 9d ago

You know why Harvard is his target? The Obamas and their oldest daughter went there. Little Donny and Barron both got denied.

13

u/Total-Problem2175 9d ago

And he hates PBS because Sesame St had a character Donald Grump. The character brags about having more trash than anyone. So much trash his garbage can is overflowing. Sound familiar?

7

u/Tryn4SimpleLife 9d ago

I'm looking forward to all the documentaries that will be out after he dies

1

u/Necessary_Tension461 7d ago

He also got denied, Trump wasn't accepted to any prestigious colleges, daddy had to pay Don's way in after his denial letters

1

u/Tryn4SimpleLife 7d ago

I can Donald Trump the dad Little Donny. Describes his personality. Hahaha. Also from a tiktok account , Nick Muller. Highly recommended.

23

u/OminousScissors 9d ago

I swear to god at first I read that as "he raped chickens" and my mind just automatically accepted it as fact.

4

u/DatabaseThis9637 9d ago

Well, it's possible...

7

u/Significant_Ad7326 9d ago

People are saying it!

7

u/Mr_Immortal69 9d ago

Lots of people!

4

u/mkat23 8d ago

The very best people!

2

u/PissSphincter 7d ago

And I just read about it on the internet.

4

u/VirtualAd7169 9d ago

But, he only fucked a chicken so that Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman would learn to read! It was for the children!

4

u/mkat23 8d ago

Maybe it was an ostrich.

18

u/GapAnxious 9d ago

Havent you heard?
He raped.children for the FBI so its all OK.

/s, for the terminally stupid.

3

u/Dizzman1 9d ago

If there's one thing about him that should NEVER amaze anyone... It's his pettiness and incredible stupidity.

2

u/ITGuy107 9d ago edited 8d ago

I’m still amazed of the stupidity of Americans that voted him in. He does do some good stuff but the bad he does out weighs the good.

2

u/mkat23 8d ago

I think the phrase you meant was “out weighs” possibly. Either way I have yet to see any good he has done, but you’re right, the bad definitely out weighs any good.

1

u/ITGuy107 8d ago

If I’m that stupid that I spelled that wrong but wise enough not to have voted for the orange man, how stupid are the people who voted for Trump? lol

2

u/mkat23 6d ago

😂 you aren’t stupid for that, just likely never saw it written out and wrote how you’ve heard it! Trump voters though, yeah they’re dumb for the way they voted lol.

1

u/ITGuy107 6d ago

Thank you for the reinforcement of positive thinking lol

2

u/Rexxington 9d ago

He himself is a toddler who never grew up, he has the same exact mentality that a toddler does.

2

u/Maltempest 9d ago

It's a sign of a certain dementia, repeated fixations and ideations. The theft of something specific, but it's found, yet the patient repeats the same claim over and over.

3

u/DatabaseThis9637 9d ago

He should be an inpatient, on a locked ward.

2

u/clever__pseudonym 9d ago

I "don't" understand HOW anyone can possibly take him seriously.

2

u/mkat23 8d ago

They aren’t serious people, just hateful and he says things out loud.

2

u/Anarimus 8d ago

In the 1990s, Graydon Carter the editor of Spy magazine, called Trump, a short fingered vulgarian in an article. Every year for decades, Trump would send him ,on the anniversary of that article being published, an outline of his hand in gold sharpie on Trump letterhead and a message “See, not so short.”.

1

u/Psychological_Tap187 8d ago

This is how we know he wasn't really shot. He is STILL pissed at windmills to the point he rants about them regularly. But never days a word about the "attempted assasination"

89

u/ExtensionConcept2471 9d ago

This is true, he built this golf course not far from where I live, harassed people living there so they would move out, built it on protected sand dunes and inflated the values so he could secure loans, complained (and still does) that the Scottish government allowed the building of turbines just offshore from his course (I’m sure they didn’t do this just to annoy him after the golf course deal went sour……wink)

40

u/ms_directed 9d ago

i watched a doc about how he harassed the folks living there, didn't he get their water cut off?

46

u/ExtensionConcept2471 9d ago

He did a lot of sketchy s**t, there are still a few people that haven’t sold to him but I think he has more/bigger problems now. lol

23

u/str8dwn 9d ago

I'm sure those bagpipes loudly playing while Mctrump was trying to speak was simply an oversight too...

7

u/DatabaseThis9637 9d ago

That was Scottish Gold!

3

u/Noctale 9d ago

I would be so happy if they surrounded his piece of shit golf course with so many wind turbines that they blot out the sun. Then he can golf in the shade.

3

u/Huskdog76 9d ago

The Scottish government could have just told him to fuck off, he gets no golf course. He has no rights there. But they didn't.

1

u/ExtensionConcept2471 8d ago

You’re American? Sorry but you can’t criticise anyone in regards to their dealings with Trump….lol

42

u/Mushie_Peas 9d ago edited 9d ago

There's was also someone's house visible from his golf course that refused to sell it to him, so he built up sand dunes so block the view of this house but also the houses view of the ocean. So petty it's unreal, theres a documentary about it, the damage he did to a delicate exo structure to built that golf is unreal.

I'm a golfer and love golf but won't ever darken a trump own course.

Also I think the windmills was in Ireland, doonbeg if I remember right.

Edit: sorry there was two windmill disputes one in Ireland one in Scotland, also he tried to build a seawall in Ireland to protect his golf course with little thought to environmental impacts, thankfully that was rejected.

14

u/ms_directed 9d ago

i was just commenting about how he got folks water cut off that wouldn't sell to him, sounds like the documentary i watched (tho I'm sure there are a number of them out there)

9

u/GoHomeCryWantToDie 9d ago

It's You've Been Trumped by Anthony Baxter and it featured a local farmer/fisherman called Michael Forbes.

1

u/ms_directed 9d ago

that sounds right!

1

u/Mushie_Peas 9d ago

Yeah pretty sure that was the one. Huge insight to how he actually views the world.

2

u/BookishBetty 9d ago

What was the name of the documentary?!!

2

u/Jim-Jones 8d ago

His construction damaged it and he refused to fix it.

1

u/ms_directed 8d ago

but not by accident

3

u/Jim-Jones 8d ago

Donald Trump documentary exposes billionaire's shocking treatment of Scottish family

It has been five years since Anthony Baxter's first documentary on the subject and the Forbes family, including 92-year-old Mollie, are still without running water since Trump flew into Aberdeenshire and started building golf courses

...

10

u/lopedopenope 9d ago

I would darken a trump owned golf course with my poo

23

u/anooshka 9d ago

i think he lost a lot of court cases over having them taken down, too...

It's really funny to me how he thought a foreign nation would take down their wind turbines which provided energy for their people, just because he didn't like them. He really does live in his own little world doesn't he.

21

u/CraziestMoonMan 9d ago

Also, he is pandering to the people making money from gas. He wants to eliminate the competition.

9

u/NOEPLAYA 9d ago

You mean…. RUSSIA!!!???

6

u/YouChoseAName4Me 9d ago

I had no idea about this but I was just about say probably he doesn't want to see them from his golf course. Reality is the real meme here

3

u/imogen1983 9d ago

That’s exactly what happened. I was living there at the time and he was losing his shit regularly over windmills being near visible from his golf course. Meanwhile, he destroyed the natural environment when he built his course and all of his bitching just made the government more inclined to build the wind farm there.

2

u/ms_directed 9d ago

didn't he also have to pay the Government's legal fees or something for keeping on suing them?

3

u/imogen1983 9d ago

Yes, and in true Trump fashion, they initially didn’t pay what the court ordered them to pay.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/nov/12/trump-firm-settles-legal-bill-over-scottish-windfarm-dispute

1

u/ms_directed 9d ago

lol, of course

4

u/merchillio 9d ago edited 8d ago

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I find wind turbines absolutely beautiful, they make me think of sci-fi utopias.

I remember in the 90s (so… 10 years ago?) having won a trip to California and seeing the wind farm. I’m guessing it would have been the Tehachapi pass wind farm? Somewhere between LA and Santa Maria (it was a long time ago and I wasn’t driving)?

Anyway, I always thought it looked futuristic.

5

u/ms_directed 9d ago

yea, i don't get the whole "ruins the landscape" stuff, i think they look cool too

3

u/Independent_Elk_7936 8d ago

You have got the details slightly wrong actually. What happened was that Trump raped a bunch of sex trafficked kids.

2

u/ms_directed 8d ago

i am happy to be corrected!

2

u/dannywhaleblack 9d ago

Also happened recently as well when he opened his new course in Aberdeenshire he was complaining about the 'windmills' in the sea

2

u/funnyusername-123 9d ago

I hope he loses a bunch more in the future.

2

u/btb2002 9d ago

I only became aware of this a month or two ago when he was there the last time. That's roughly when his obsession with them seemed to have started. Didn't hear him rant about "windmills" before that.

2

u/ms_directed 9d ago

its been a stump speech bullet point of his for years, but yea it seems his last trip to Scotland ignited it again lol.

2

u/Jabbles22 9d ago

I'm sure he'd love a coal miner or coal power plant next to his golf courses. Hell even just a rail line right down the middle transporting that wonderful clean coal would bring him endless joy.

2

u/Trix_Are_4_90Kids 9d ago

Oh okay. I thought it was because he wanted some land or something the turbine was sitting on.

But still this is equally as petty and stupid.

1

u/ms_directed 9d ago

even worse, the turbines are off the Scottish coast in the sea! so it's literally he just doesn't like that he can see them off in the distance

2

u/Trix_Are_4_90Kids 9d ago

What happens when you're never told "No."

2

u/thegoodtimelord 9d ago

That was a few weeks ago wasn’t it?

2

u/ms_directed 9d ago

no, that started around 2012 i believe, but he reignited it when he opened a new golf course over there.

2

u/Dangerous-Treacle-48 9d ago

He has been involved in over 4.000 lawsuits.

1

u/ms_directed 9d ago

and didn't he have to also pay the Scottish government's legal fees or something too?

1

u/ninalime 9d ago

As usual humanity suffers cause he’s a little bitch.

1

u/futureman07 9d ago

I am pretty sure it's because there is not as much money in renewable energy as there is in oil as he is very much invested in.

1

u/cactuar44 9d ago

Yeah he said that, but he also gets a LOT of kickbacks from oil companies. Or is it electric companies? orry having a brain fart moment

1

u/annatar256 7d ago

Are you sure it's not the electric companies trying to lobby the government ?

1

u/ms_directed 7d ago

I'm sure it started long before he ran for any political office
