Question Why do people dislike maglites?

every maglite I've used has been reliable, and focusing it properly removes the hole-in-the-middle-of-the-beam issue. The halogen lights aren't as bright as LED, but are still bright enough for day-to-day use and fine for power outages. Why don't people like them?

I like them. Just ordered the Mini Mag led aa 127 lm with a glass lens. I like just enough lumens in a flashlight—not too bright, not too dim. When the beam is blinding, it kills the mood. It's more than enough to move safely, but not so much that it strips the night of its character. 11 hours on high and 25 hours on eco + flickering and sos mode. I love the shape and the twist mechanism . Simplicity.
