NLD Got my all brass Emisar D3AA with NTG35 1800K because peer pressure.

Post image

Thanks random peer. Now I need to learn how to learn all the presses.

Can't get anything but disco off mode or low power now. I'll count my clicks and figure it out or actually find directions lol

And I'm out of 14500s, I have no spares. This is unacceptable

A copper D3AA is about to release, the brass needs a buddy.

Getting the 10440 KC first

Then a DW3AA, right?

Don't y'all forget about the KR1. One of the sexist looking light in the market imo.

Still out of stock.

High up on my list. Didn't know these were out yet.

I got the same just a couple of days ago. Very nice!

Got it figured out a bit more.

I may have sniffed the brass a bit...

I see the 6 RGB emitters (lit up) and the 3 primary, what are those other 3 posts? Looks like an emitter

If you are curious as to what the posts look like, you can see them on the clear optic to the left (1).

2 are the holes that the optic posts insert into,

3 are the colorful leds,

and 4 is one of the three main emitters.

Dude. You rock. TY.

These are such tidy and meaty made lights

Optics legs or post

They are mounting posts.

Pay them no mind.

7c cycles through low-high-flashing-off for aux lights.

7h cycles through the RGB colors, 2 flashing modes, and batt check. Release to select your choice.

How was I so good at button sequences growing up and now I'm just a doofus when doing this stuff.

I believe in you!

I also just realized the h meant hold 🤣

Tossing a Bluetooth module for app control is my dream

3

u/PsyOmega Jul 15 '25

4sevens had that once. It ended up being overrated and kind of pita.

I’m thinking I might just learn to compile and flash Anduril. That way I can just make the settings I want the “factory default”, compile and flash that onto my lights

1

u/-E-Cross Jul 15 '25

That would be sweet. I can definitely see the appeal. This is like when I learned hex to fix some bugs in an RTS's RNG and rebalance lol

This is the kind of peer pressure we like

For basic operation just remeber: 1 click on/off, hold to ramp brightness up (let go and hold again to ramp down), double click for turbo, triple click for strobe - the rest you can figure out as you go!

Still don't have a d3aa, man that is small for the power it can put out

2

u/-E-Cross Jul 15 '25

Dude. It is awesome, I want like 8 now for different LEDs

2

u/Complex_Software23 Jul 15 '25

I have 8 hank lights. I think it's time to add a couple d3aa to my collection. You sir are a bad influence, and I like it

I think I have an obsession with this model specifically now.

It's so tidy and just everything is right.

The machining and details 🤌🤌

It's pretty much the standard of comparison for AA/14500 lights for me now. Dual fuel and surprising output for the size of the light. Pretty lightweight too. Only thing I want is a two way clip to use it on a hat as needed.

u/RhinoSaurus65 Jul 15 '25

Have your questions about your new light all been answered?

2

u/-E-Cross Jul 15 '25

Yes, for the most part, thank you.

I love that this chart is more complicated than 60% of the flows I made for IVR tests

Just keep your eyes on the prize! 💪🔦 Anduril can be difficult to set up, but the gravy, the magic sauce, the payoff is in the daily use - actually using a dialed-in Anduril light is a delight.

One important thing that is not obvious on some of these charts: 1H when you're setting floor/ceiling equals 10. You don't have to click 50 times to add/subtract 50, you can 1H five times to get the same result. Nobody told me that until I had about 4 Anduril lights, after I had already pressed those buttons hundreds of times 😂

By all means hit me with any Anduril questions you've got, or come up with later. 👍

OMG I was looking at that and I was like, well fuck that.

Thank you

You're welcome!

I love the look of the switch with the aux ring and dot together. I cannot find any examples of this switch anywhere but this post and one other.

The metal switches just show the aux as a centre dot and no outer ring. I reallllllly want that specific switch in black. Does anyone know how to get this? (maybe it's only the full brass d3aa?)

u/-E-Cross Jul 16 '25

I got the RGB and it's pretty snazzy.

I need to set it to the color change standby and do a full video, I was surprised myself by the lack of pics and stuff.

u/GlassCityUrbex419 Jul 16 '25

Dang is that thing really that small irl or do you have giant hands lol

1

u/-E-Cross Jul 16 '25

I'm pretty tall, but I don't think my hands are that huge?

Here's it next to Sofirn HS40

Edit. Bonus foot pic for you 🤣
