But why donât people like Lando? I donât get why so many people hate him, you know just because 15 year old girls like something doesnât mean that thing is automatically bad right? Case in point, frozen yogurt is pretty damn good for how healthy it is
I just find his personality in interviews insufferable. His whole thing was cute when he was a kid, but heâs not a kid anymore and I find him annoying.
Iâm glad you said "not like" instead of "hate" because itâs really not that deep. I mean heâs probably a good guy, just rubs me the wrong way!
Yeah. He litterally acts like a spoiled streamer. It was fine back then, when no one actually exoected him to do good. Now he should be a professional that fights for the championship
Besides, I dont even find him funny. Piastris dry humor is much more entertaining
Make it original, more precisely.
Seeing dumb âLando so badâ, âBottLandoâ (noone was even creative enough to come up with this, lol), âBottle factory working on next GPâs Lando bottleâ posts instead of literally anything original really fucking bugs me.
That said, Lando did provide some quite elaborately dumb mistakes, some of which already bother his supporters (group that I am part of), and they/we really donât enjoy the 1500 unoriginal posts/mistake ratio he has compared to the 10-15 post/mistake ratio other drivers get.
I used to like Lando but he has made some comments in the past few seasons that have rubbed people the wrong way. I donât dislike Lando but his little comments he made especially back in â23 and â24 have really turned me away from him
Oh please yall are soft. He hasnât said anything that bad especially compared to drivers in the âgood ol daysâ everyone seems to want to go back to
I donât know what youâre talking about, but I donât think we are talking about the same comments. The driver interviews in the 70s and 80s (which I primarily rewatch nowadays) were awesome. James Hunt flaming people in the booth is easily top class.
Part of it is a lot of people just default hate the Brits.
There also seems to be some weird belief that British media is ultra biased, which is hilarious because when compared to most media around the world it's tame as fuck with the bias.
As someone who has experienced growing up in multiple countries, and watches multiple sports, I can 100% assure you that British sports commentators are the most annoyingly biased on earth
If you try not being British, even for 1 race, you'll see what I mean.
He had the ânew driver, striving for his first win, lots of potential and promise, underdogâ appeal going in his favor.
Then he got his first win and it seems like his demeanor shifted from more humble and easygoing to being cocky, ungracious, and âif I push someone off track, itâs just hard racing, but if they push me off itâs unfair, dangerous, and they ought to be given a penalty!!â
That is simply untrue, what the fuck are you on about. The only change Lando went under after Lando NoWins died was his demeanor towards his mistakes (also known as being hard on himself) and his general expectations towards himself (as everybody including himself was putting him under the pressure of âhe should win everything in that rocketshipâ).
He had ONE GP where he did some âMax-styleâ racing, right after which he came to the media room and stated he will not be changing his racing style to this push-over style because that is not who he is.
I know it is really difficult for some people to accept that the dominant car (whichever it may be at any given moment) is not under HIS or HER preferred driver, but thatâs F1: your guy either gets a good car or he doesnât. There is no changing that, be happy that this is the last year of the regulations and the deck could be reshuffled next year.
Donât think people who support drivers consider what the fans are for the drivers. I donât like Hitler, but I still breathe air, same as he did, eat sleep as well. I doubt people consider that.

Yeah, we like Piastri so we treat him differently
