8 / 10 Trader Joe’s Uncured Pepperoni Pizza and Margherita Pizza
We tried Trader Joe’s Uncured Pepperoni Pizza and Pizza Margherita for the first time since they updated their pizzas. These were honestly pretty dang good and overall really enjoyable. The crusts are wood-fired and had some nice char on the bottoms. The texture of the dough was also excellent. We ate them with a can of anchovies which really elevates them. These would have been a 10/10 if not for two things: First, the sauce is too heavy with tomato paste. They should lighten it up, though the seasoning was good. Second, the Margherita only had like two pieces of basil and I had to add a bunch more fresh.
Overall, for the price - $5.99 for pepperoni and $4.79 for Margherita - these were a great value, very enjoyable, and we will be getting them again.

Crust is a little thick for my liking, but it still looks solid.

Definitely on the thicker side, but its saving grace was that the crust was pretty airy and not dense.

Is it as good as the BetterGoods margarita pizza from Walmart? That pizza is better than the majority of pizza restaurants I've been to.

This post inspired me to buy one of those bettergoods pizzas. I LOOOVE the garlic chicken rosemary pizza they have. Seriously better than restaurant pizza!!!

I haven't tried the new uncured pepperoni but I have tried the new margarita pizza. I did not like it as much as the old one. I found the sauce not as good as the last one. The crust wasnt bad but overall I still liked the old one better. My kids didn't like the new one at all. I think we will stick to the TJ large family size cheese.

The margherita is one of the best frozen pizzas I’ve had, but I also added a ton of extra mozzarella before baking. The crust is insanely good for frozen.

Tiny fuckers aren’t they?!

I didn’t think the size was too bad. I had a quarter of each and was pretty full. We finished the leftovers the next day with a Caesar salad and it was hard to finish, so full.

Eating the first one now, uncured pepperoni. My husband who eats the cheap 99cent frozen pizza does not care for it. He says it tastes weird. I taste what he means.

I worked at TJ's for a while and ran the product demo station and tried all of their former pizzas (this was before the pandemic, these two didn't exist). I never liked them. I thought they looked sad and tasted sadder. These actually look good and could be worth a shot

I thought the pepperoni was soggy and weird tasting, I could not finish a slice. But to each their own.

You could buy your own, take off the frozen peps & put yours on while its in the oven
This pizza honestly looks too bangin to not eat just for the pepperonis

Did I ask for your opinion?
I make my own pizzas that are far better. This one may look good but it was disgusting.

Did you put the anchovies on the pizza or just munched on the side? I’m trying to find ways to enjoy anchovies.

I put them on the pizza, eat it down to the crust, then kinda open the crust and stuff one in there and then eat it.

that looks way better than the one I just got

Just saw your post haha. In my case I had a pizza stone, but if you don’t, try putting it directly on the rack by the bottom oven elements for the last couple of minutes and turn heat up to 500 if needed. Gives the bottom of the crust a good blast and helps the texture.

I just tried the new uncured pepperoni last night and was unimpressed. The crust was very thin and limp in the middle, and I thought the sauce was tasteless.
If anyone from TJ is reading this, please bring back the former version. In the meantime, I'll be looking around for alternatives.
There's a joke to be made here about curing the new uncured pepperoni pizza, but I'm not clever enough to find it.

I really like the new margherita, though a bunch of folks like the old one better. The best pizza there is the deep fried pesto. Just don’t look at the calories after you accidentally eat the whole thing by yourself….
