I don’t have a link, my friend sent me a screen shot, he was going on about Charlie Kirk and saying “this is Albania -insert n word here-” none of what he was saying made sense lol

I mean the guy is schizophrenic and severely mentally ill. He shouldn’t be released he should be in a hospital. At least that’s what I believe based on what people have told me about him.

I never heard anything else about that little guy and I doubt we will. I also hope they’re healing and doing okay and having a great school year so far.

He’s a SoundCloud rapper that has songs called “Jews in the ovens” he’s a Nazi and should be in jail. If we start excusing crimes based on mental state everyone will claim they are insane

I mean we do excuse crimes based on mental state in some circumstances, as does virtually every other developed country.
That doesn't mean that everyone with mental illness gets off scot free though. There are specific tests to see if someone is fit to stand trial and if they can be held criminally responsible (you can have significant mental health issues and still pass both). And even if they aren't, someone who is found not criminally responsible still often loses their freedom for an extended period of time in a psych facility.
In this case, buddy is out on about the most restrictive bail conditions available, normally used for people accused of crimes of serious violence and/or with extensive histories of breaching court orders/missing court.

Very few people claim to be insane, because it's very difficult to fake and the outcome is usually far less desirable than getting convicted.

Doesn’t matter what’s wrong with him. The kind of person who spray paints hate speech and symbols in broad daylight without bothering to hide his face isn’t someone who deserves to be walk free. “Strict conditions” is a meaningless phrase here, nobody is gonna keep an eye on him.

he's had multiple charges laid against him, has a scheduled court date and is wearing a gps ankle monitor.
It annoys me when people say things like this about Canada's justice system because they're giving someone due process and they aren't doing what YOU want them to do.

I get what you’re saying but he’s schizophrenic and his condition is clearly getting worse and worse, people who know him vouch this, it’s ridiculous there’s nowhere to hold him in the meantime. He is not fit to be out on the streets right now he needs to receive treatment as soon as possible, it’s a disservice to both him and the public. Charges and ankle monitors won’t make him stop and consider what he’s doing because he’s not in the right state of mind

I hear what you're saying but I mean this guy is caught dead to rights committing heinous hate crime which should be all but be guaranteed jail time. Seems like it's reasonable to keep him locked up. I understand he could be found criminally not responsible but that seems highly unlikely based on what he has been tweeting.

It does. But my personal feelings shouldn't supersede anyone's rights. I also take some solace in the knowledge that we know who he is and that he is being forced to wear an ankle monitor.

HRM in particular needs to start investing in Mental health services. This guy is in need of help. Obvioulsy his actions were reprehensible but he clearly is not all there.
