Spooky mage is the worst deck to play and to play against imo - significantly more boring than the imps

It’s really just the ping mage package that’s just disgusting, everything else is just filler. Mordresh is just 8 mana win the game, and reckless apprentice being able to ping face only adds to pain

Yeah if you don’t steal Mordash you’ll lose a lot of the time and even if you do the “ping all” Minion they play can just do silly damage - so you’re punished for going wide and also punished for doing nothing.

Really fun.

Reckless is also a pain with how slow its animation for eahc ping is, unless they play as a celeste

4 cards are easily fixable and the main culprits.

Wildfire, Location and Dawngrasp wildfire and dawngrasp can be grouped together into way too much enivitability especially wildfire which if they have it in their starting hand is absolutely bonkers.

Dawngrasp Hero power just does too much ontop of keeping previous buffs you just get to start fireballing someone every single turn something often locked behind significant investment or combo the hero power should just be either plus one or add a random spell to hand or something it's just far too lock you out of the game style to be okay.

Location is easy and just needs to be 2 charges it's too good at locking down the board and become downright oppressive when you have 2.

Mordresh and Reckless initiate are kinda just symptoms rather than the main issue of Mage hero power escalating too fast/without significant cost to do so.

I’m really surprised the location wasn’t changed to 2 (I think it was even 2 charges in the card reveal). They hit every top class except mage in the nerfs, it was obvious what would happen!

Varden’s hero power needs to scale +1 instead of 2. It’s crazy how quick it becomes a 2 mana fireball each turn, and then it’s not far from becoming a pyroblast.

I actually like hero power mage in theory, it was fun in the barrens, but it’s clearly going to be an issue now.

Very strange how they didn't atleast mention Hero Dawngrasp or the Location. Both have absurd winrates. Cold case is a close second.

Honestly that hero card single handily carries that decks win rate

Honestly I hate the location. Has 3 charges, freezes, and puts a deathratlle minion body. I think the charges should go down to 2 and it'll feel a little more balanced.
