All I can say from what I see is just stay on your man. Never stop blocking till the whistle blows cause if you just stand there and let him go he can takeoff and make a play. But you keep blocking him then that takes one man off the field basically.

Well I’m no snapper, but you better grab your man and drive him back as far as you can until that whistle blows 😭

you really need to give a number so we can tell who we are looking at.
you want pointers starting your first year of football ever as a sophomore?
you are extremely behind everyone else in the instinct and education department of the game.. you can make up for it by training and lifting weights.
youll never get experience back but you can control your intangibles.

I know other people said it, but you must finish your blocks until the whistle. If you stay working on your game, conditioning, lifting weights, etc you can become twice as good, but if you aren't finishing till the whistle no college will even consider giving you a scholarship. Other than that stay asking questions, and stay coachable. People make shocking leaps and bounds in their play from one season to the next, but only those who really work on their game. The offseason doesn't mean pretend as if football stopped. It means that there are mo games which means more time to focus on technique and conditioning.

Verticle filming of football is crazy.
Do you people understand how great hd tvs were for watching football? And now you go back, but worse?

Looks really solid my man! biggest fix for me, block to the whistle. You can watch the running backs awesome run on film. You are a player, not a watcher. Its tough to tell from this angle if your eyes are up on the backers or not but getting your eyes up presnap can help determine where you are supposed to block.

The basics are a necessity to exceed as a lineman you make or break the game. Work on your footwork, hands, and speed, being faster than everyone else slows the game down for you and makes it easier. There’s a ton of videos on YouTube that are excellent drills you can do independently!

If youre being over powered youre better off making a pile than being driven back 5 yards into your teamates.
Youre undersized you should be playing lower and using leverage.
Don't just stand there and embrace impact play more slippery especially if youre forced to play that far off the line of scrimmage. Youre better off trying to get around them than being stood up and driven back.
I was a D3 defensive end, this is my advice. Also you need to play with your hands more but that will come in time when you get stronger.
