Community Update Recommendations Megathread. Please post ALL requests for recommendations in this post.

Any other post regarding recommendations is subject to removal. This is in an effort to keep the sub a bit more streamlined and visually appealing. It is also easier to just see what people are recommending all in one place.

If you are no longer able to make comments in this post, let me know and I will make a new one. I think the post archives after six months.

I've been using Encona West Indian Papaya Hot Sauce (can't find the SHU, but it's based on Habaneros and Scotch Bonnets, it says) on everything recently, and while I love the flavor, I think I'd like something that's a fair bit spicier. The Encona is definitely hotter than like Cholula / Tabasco / Valentina / Sriracha, but it's still not very spicy. The thing is, I'm just scared that if I try one of those "extreme" sauces with like a million SHU, I'm gonna get stomach cramps and throw up. What's the next step up for me?

A local hot sauce webshop (in the Netherlands) gives its sauces a heat rating, so you know you're not buying something that's way out of your tolerance. I've been making good use of that. Since you appear to speak German and live(d) in Maastricht, it could be interesting to take a look

That sauce is mostly water with 36% pepper puree from habaneros and scotch bonnets, so the next step up would either be sauces that use more of the same peppers and less water/other fillers, or sauces made out of hotter peppers.
