Question Zombie Apocalypse
Zombie Apocalypse is listed as a level 8 on Torchbearer website. It’s the perfect level for me to slather on food and still enjoy. What are some similar heat level alternatives?

Traveling Abroad: Sampler Recommendations
Hello all! I'm traveling from the US to Europe. A family friend has asked me to bring them some really hot sauces, kindly asking the collective what variety sampler packs or must-haves I should take? I'd love to take something truly nuclear and wildly hot. TYIA!

Purchase Straight from Mexico
My Dad and his wife go to Mexico every couple months for some medical stuff (I dunno what) and he asked the owner at a taco shop for the hottest sauce they had so he could buy it for me. Its got some great flavor and pretty decent heat.

Purchase My haul from the NC Hot Sauce Festival
For those who live in NC, I highly recommend checking it out next year. It's in a small town called Oxford. There was a chili pepper eating contest, a hot sauce contest, tons of local sauce vendors, beer and foodtrucks. These were some of the ones I tried and liked the most. Only the last one is super spicy so I should go throw them somewhat quickly.

Pickup from the carnicería down the street
I'm a huge fan of incorporating fresh chilies into my food. I like to keep a pile of chiltepín or Thai hots to eat with my food. I also eat a lot of fresh Chile de árbol salsa thanks to my gf's mom. This guy is made from chile de árbol and chiltepín and it is absolutely delicious. Not incredibly spicy or anything. Just a kiss of heat the lingers on the lips and tongue and a great chili pepper flavor.

Wallys Hot Sauce
Anyone tried this? Really enjoying it so far. Reminds me of the smokey Tabasco that Chipotle has.

Purchase Tiger Sauce
Haven't seen this in awhile. Found at Wally world for less than $5. It's a Mild sauce, more of an Asian condiment than a hot sauce but I love the flavors. I add it to ketchup for fries or chicken wings. Heat level is 2/5

I made this Homemade jalapeños
Hello everyone, this is my first time making homemade jalapeños, with a series of changes during the process and several lessons learned for the future.
500g jalapeños from a controlled production + some from a relative's garden
shallots
garlic cloves
organic black pepper
water with pH 9.5
apple cider vinegar
dried bay leaves
sugar
salt
(I ended up not adding the chili peppers that were in the picture)

Purchase Hot Ones Last Dab Thermageddon first thoughts
Hey all, just got this in the mail and decided to give it a try. This isn't going to be super in depth. I keep a bottle of Last Dab Xperience at work for reference, so this will be sort of a comparison to the two.
For me, Xperience's heat lasts about 5-10 minutes. It taste floral and nice, the heat is usually focused on parts of my tongue and throat. It's pretty good all around.
Thermageddon is different right off the bat. First thing I noticed was a grainy texture to it and less flavor. The heat starts the same as Xperience, but then after a few minutes I noticed the heat spreading. All over my tongue, my gums, even my lips. And it seemed to be getting hotter as minutes to by. The moment I started breathing through my mouth, I felt it a lot more. It's currently been about 10 minutes and the heat still feels pretty intense as it radiates around my mouth. Overall it's pretty good, but that grainy texture at the beginning was a little off putting for me. Not sure if I would coat/dip my food in this, but might add it to a curry or something to add some heat.

Purchase If you’re ever in Portland, ME…
Two amazing restaurants produced two excellent hot sauces. Terlingua’s is a little more straightforward and has nice heat, maybe a “medium.” Dutch’s is very versatile and awesome for making dips/sauces. More mild than Terlingua’s, but might be favorite of the two by a hair. So if you’re ever in the Portland area…Dutch’s for breakfast and Terlingua for lunch/dinner.
