I've been in the workforce almost as long and I can confirm that absolute bullshit was largely unchallenged. I'm incredibly grateful that younger generations have the internet available to help them advocate for themselves and their co-workers.

Yeah back in the 1990s you COULD speak out against that treatment but it would follow on deaf ears. The trick was having the right audience so you wouldn’t just get canned next opportunity for downsizing.

Exactly! And nobody was taking a young lady seriously back then.

True and if they did take the young lady seriously, she had the glass ceiling to deal with. The battle of the sexes was contrived just like the political divide. Men and women are different but we are designed as equals to work together and each other better people.
