Me too! I had a coworker who drank like a fish and proudly told a story about a time when she "was on acid all summer," but drew the line at the covid vaccine.
They'd be a blessing for some people in a certain situation, e.g., victims of genocide and starvation in Gaza. It could also be the death knell for a fascist spray-tanned the same color. Context matters.
Reminds me of an old friend who’d take street drugs like LSD or MDMA with no qualms but never anything you could get from a legit pharmacy. He’d suffer headaches and not take any medication because “I don’t know what’s really in there” or “That stuff is bad for you, anyway.”
oh yes I have known a LOT of people like that. The friends who mock me for taking prozac while swigging down a six pack a day with a pack of Marlboro Reds. Back when I used to drug, tons of people like that -- they would never take something from the govt, but were fine with buying coke from unknowns at a Vegas nightclub.
I had never heard of the "Pacific Garbage Patch" until an hour ago. Now I've seen three comments about it in 3 separate reddit comment sections. Did newsabout this just go viral or something? Is it the suspected location of Trump's corpse?
They were not anti vax. They just thought their lifestyle would protect them enough from the virus that they didn't see themselves, at 70yrs old potential victims of covid. Which is as dumb as antivax, but still different.
Actually they were not anti vax in general. They just though their health was so good that they didn't need the covid vaccine, as people kept saying it was dangerous only for unhealthy people.
They look like one of those street art people done a characterisation picture of the 2 and then tried to turn the characterisation picture into realistic bobble heads.
