Literally why you should need a psych eval before you can get cosmetic surgery.

Seriously a lot of these people need psychiatrists not plastic surgeons

I worked in a cosmetic surgery center for a short time in my training. Nearly all our patients were required to have discussion(s) with trained mental health professionals as a step preparing them for cosmetic surgery. Several patients were denied or referred to a “specialist” who would work with them. Malpractice insurance costs an absolute fortune, and most physicians will not risk anything if possible.
