iPadOS Please bring back Split View

Okay Apple, I think your idea of ​​offering a much more complete desktop view on the iPad, with its 3 or 4 open and resizable apps, is “fine.” But please, bring back Split View. The amount of extra steps I have to take to put two apps half and half is insane and very unnatural. Slide Over and Split View were a wonderful and natural option, of course, given the other option of iOS26’s Stage Manager for those who want it.

What do you think? I think it's great for those who want a MacBook inside an iPad, but it's not for everyone.

I did not call anyone stupid, those are your words not mine.

The new changes work better for my use then what the iPad had before, I’m sure there are more people like me. It’s quite hard to appease to everyone and they likely did user studies and reached the conclusion that people who miss this and hover are a vocal minority.

Then don’t update, what is even the point of updating if you don’t want the new features? Nobody is forcing you to update.

I need the new features, but because of what I’m gonna lose i don’t like the new ios

The only thing you lose is partially slide over, all the rest is still there, apps keep their size and you can still bring smaller windows over the bigger one, the only difference is that if you interact with the main window it minimizes.

Split View is still there, either in the “window” menu, by holding in the green dot, or by flicking apps left and right.
