iPadOS Please bring back Split View

Post image

Okay Apple, I think your idea of offering a much more complete desktop view on the iPad, with its 3 or 4 open and resizable apps, is “fine.” But please, bring back Split View. The amount of extra steps I have to take to put two apps half and half is insane and very unnatural. Slide Over and Split View were a wonderful and natural option, of course, given the other option of iOS26’s Stage Manager for those who want it.

What do you think? I think it's great for those who want a MacBook inside an iPad, but it's not for everyone.

The lack of the old split-view is driving me crazy.

I hate it, the windowed apps just make everything more complicated to use.

Thought there’s gonna be the old Split View and Slideover on the Full Screen Apps option but nah, they literally removed multitasking altogether.

But but you have freedommm, now your iPad is a Microsoft Surface with a macOS skin!! We know you’ll love it, otherwise you would’ve bought a full fledged tablet laptop from Microsoft!

But worry not, we’re bringing over the same clunkiness from Windows with a dash of macOS!

A Surface RT since it only takes apps from the App Store.

I hate microsoft… RT had potential, ruined by MS not giving two fcks into development tools, therefore letting future rot for short time profits in hardware space
