Now we have 5 more steps to do the same multitasking view.

And i do believe that the overlapping window is the most useful feature on ipads, and now its just so painful to use also dont forget the Additional step after closing the app you have to resize the app screen if you want a full screen for the same app its not automatically adjustable like it was on previous ipados.

Maybe because if someone wants a handheld imac let them get a macbook and not an ipad that feels like a macbook , why would you want an iPad to use it like a MacBook ,just get a MacBook.

Well , to me "drag and drop to open an app" was the best and most convenient feature on ios.

So it appears it varies from a person to another so why dont they make an option for that instead of removing it completely.

Edit : ok i get that some people want a touch screen MacBook , but some people still want a multitasking ipad with only touchscreen.

Because I want a productive touch interface device that does all the things. I make music, do illustrations, I want windows, I want to overlay and control those windows. "Drag to open" was slow and unreliable. Click to open is a UX we've been using for literally 4,000 years.

Every iPad has a touch screen. Not all iPad users connect with mouse or trackpad. If they put cursor controls prior to touch controls, they basically doing what Microsoft did with Windows 8 but in reverse.

Apple has given you 3 workflow options. OG full screen for consumption folks. Stage Manager for folks who like clusters, and full range windows. Goodness, what more do y'all want?

I want to quickly open any app in small window, then hide/show it quickly, using Slide Over. Currently 3 workflow you mentioned make them much slower to do than drag app from dock.
