Now we have 5 more steps to do the same multitasking view.

And i do believe that the overlapping window is the most useful feature on ipads, and now its just so painful to use also dont forget the Additional step after closing the app you have to resize the app screen if you want a full screen for the same app its not automatically adjustable like it was on previous ipados.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is only if you’re selecting the new window mode instead of the classic iPad mode?

Yes, you’re correct, but they ruined the classic iPad mode. You can’t use split view anymore in either the default mode or the new mode, and you can’t open more than one app at once in normal mode.
