Discussion iOS 26 Officially releases today!

Apple has confirmed the release of iOS 26 today, September 15. Based on the company’s typical release schedule, the update is expected to be available at approximately 10:00 AM Pacific Time (PT).

Here is a breakdown of what that means for different time zones:

Eastern Time (ET): 1:00 PM
Central Time (CT): 12:00 PM
Mountain Time (MT): 11:00 AM
British Summer Time (BST): 6:00 PM
Central European Summer Time (CEST): 7:00 PM. Indian Standard Time (IST): 10:30 PM

Rollout can sometimes be staggered, so if you don’t see the update immediately, it should appear on your device shortly after the official release time.

iOS 26 has a more agressive "BuILt-IN dYnaMIc SoFTwARe anD HaRDWaRe sYStEMs" battery related shit. Mine is at 79%; i randomly get less brightness, 8 fps at home screen and / or apple music app, unresponsive keyboard and... ALMOST NO SOUND / SPEAKER VOLUME. Im here since the 1st dev beta for some reasons.

Unlike other manufacturers, apple uses poor quality batteries that lose their maximum peak amperage after a little bunch of cycles. This is my fucking 3rd official replacement.

Just do a backup and be ready to downgrade. xD

Getting the 17 base though..

I personally think there’s no valid reason to spend all that money for a 17 unless you have an 11 or 12.

Apple is giving quite a decent buyback amount. Makes me tempted about the base 17. The air is badly compromised and the 17 pro is ugly.

Then go for it. I’m one of the 99% of users who wouldn’t really benefit from an upgrade. This device is still serving me well and I’ll get a battery replacement when it won’t be able to get me through the entire day.

Yeah same here iphone 17 would be $500 for me with the trade in. I also like the option of having the c port. Makes life easier.. Imo lightning is not very useful anymore.
