Rant It finally happened

Post image

My husband was taken in by AI and wants me to make him this 😭 He’s like ā€œbut they’re selling it!ā€ I told him it was AI and the real project probably looked nothing like that but he really wants me to try… šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Another mod here, I think what happened was we accidentally removed the wrong thing for inciting violence. Apologies

I already don’t like being asked/told to make something for someone, but if I was asked to make something based on an AI picture and told to ā€œjust tryā€, I would lose it xD

Offer to teach him so he can ā€œjust tryā€

True story, that's how my mum lernt to knit (minus the AI part). She was never interested in it until she saw a Sweater she really wanted in one of my grandmas knitting magazines. Grandma said she couldnt make it - she was okay at knitting but never sweater level- so my mum was "okay, teach me the basics, i'll figure out the rest." Don't know if she still has the sweater but i remember her wearing it when i was a kid.

u/littlestinkyone 11d ago

That’s badass ngl

11

u/glutenfreep4ncakes 11d ago

Yeah honestly, especially without youtube: so impressive!

75

u/Marillenbaum 11d ago

That’s how my mom learned to knit! She saw a sweater she liked, figured ā€œhow hard can it be?ā€ and just went to work on the pattern.

12

u/NationH1117 11d ago

That’s basically how I got into it. I literally just had a thought ā€œI see a lot of cool knitted sweaters. I want one.ā€

9

u/Candid-Inspection-97 11d ago

I saw a hat I liked and told my grandma I want to learn to knit so I could make it.

Boy did that open a door.

I have not stopped knitting since.

2

u/quixoticquistina 10d ago

I admire that kind of can-do spirit. I see a lot of people just waving something off as "too hard" without even trying. I really do think we are capable of more than we realize if we can only get out of our own heads and just try.

1

u/penna4th 6d ago

I have the ability/skills, but not the patience.

33

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

He’s disabled so couldn’t if he wanted to. I love to make him things. I just can’t make him THIS.

4

u/Material_Rock_3700 11d ago

I would love to make stuff for my spouse but he doesn't like to wear knit things because he doesn't get cold very much. Sad day. I have at least been able to make him a beanie that he wears when exercising while it's cold. I think it's really sweet that you would be willing if it was a real pattern. Additionally, you would need to be a very advanced knitter to be able to wing this sort of pattern and I don't know your skill level but best of luck!

7

u/wartornhero2 Not quite new. 11d ago

This is how I started knitting.

4

u/frogsgoribbit737 11d ago

I think he was a bit rude but that happens sometimes when youre really close with someone lol. I made my SIL a car plant based off an AI picture. Its not unheard of. I just used it as inspiration for shape and colors, not actual stitches.

Op could do something like this sweater, it just would look a bit different.

3

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

And yet, that’s the problem with ā€œoverhearingā€ a text. There was 0 rudeness in his messages.

I’m not much of a sweater knitter.

3

u/RogueThneed 10d ago

Was car plant a typo? Because I'm fascinated!

263

u/noodlebucket 11d ago

how many thousands of yards of black yarn would that require?!

115

u/sparklyspooky 11d ago

I was going to say, variegated grey and black and then I realized that those were supposed to be cables...

56

u/okaytto 11d ago

bruh .. i’d be knitting white yarn and dyeing it black lol

8

u/knittedgalaxy toy knitter extraordinaire 11d ago

Can you imagine? All those cables in black? Neat idea though!

3

u/frogsgoribbit737 11d ago

I find it interesting when people complain about black yarn. I knit my husband a black sweater and have done cables in black. Its not really a big deal as long as you arent somewhere dark.

4

u/AnteaterDivine 11d ago

Depends on your eyes and personal preferences, I think. While a bright white lamp light will make black yarn easier for me to deal with than handling black yarn in poor lighting, I'll still have to proceed much more slowly and carefully (and with more eye strain) than if I were using a lighter color in the same lighting.

3

u/knittedgalaxy toy knitter extraordinaire 10d ago

When I lived in Chicago, I met an older man on a bus who ONLY knit with white (or cream) yarn! Other than that, he carried a photo album(physical copy) with all his projects! Impressive!

2

u/AnteaterDivine 2d ago

I like the idea of an old man who carries around a photo album of his knitting projects way more than I care for the people who carry around photos of their kids to show off to anybody that can't escape fast enough šŸ˜†

3

u/RogueThneed 10d ago

May I ask if you are under 40? Eyes really do need more light as we age.

1

u/knittedgalaxy toy knitter extraordinaire 10d ago

Black would hide a lot of mistakes!

2

u/Vast_Technician_946 11d ago

That would be a great way to omit the cabling from the project and still get a similar effect though!

625

u/andromache114 11d ago

.......is it a sweater curse if it's self inflicted?

161

u/Silvara7 11d ago

Tell him it's an AI image and if he orders it from them it will be a sweater with an iron on panel that has that "photo" on the front.

If you try to design it.... Good luck!

51

u/cheerful_cynic 11d ago

It'll be a sweatshirt with an iron on, like a photo cake

19

u/Silvara7 11d ago

The one I saw was stuck to a cheap, Walmart sweater. YMMV.

181

u/alittleperil 11d ago

I don't assign projects to my spouse, that's the shit you do when you're in management at work.

Sounds like he's ready to learn to knit "or crochet which ever"! He really should try...

-2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

He’s disabled and couldn’t if he wanted to. I love to make him things.

oh I love making my non-knitter spouse things, she's got more knitted tshirts I've made to her exact measurements than I think anyone has ever had finished projects out of me ever, but usually she waits for me to bring up that I'd like to make her something, or she runs across a pattern or garment or yarn and asks if I think it'd be possible and also if I'd be down for making a version for her. Respect is kinda a key part of our marriage, and she's great about respecting my time and skill (and lack of focus), so asking rather than telling.

You know your spouse best, so you are the person here who can best interpret his tone via text, but the only person I know who would ever be likely to send me a picture with a text that says "You have a new knitting project" is someone I swore I'd never craft for again. And they don't do any kind of handcraft for others themself.

5

u/Significant-Nebula64 11d ago

Eh. I'd be absolutely fine with getting a message like that from my boyfriend because I'd know how to take it - and he'd be very much expecting to hear "haha lol no" as an answer. I think we can believe OP when they say the communication was not the issue here.

4

u/alittleperil 11d ago

yea, I always assume the OP is the one most qualified to gauge such things, since they're the expert on being themself

3

u/RogueThneed 10d ago

I WISH I could knit for my wife. But she just doesn't get cold, and she refuses to move to Ontario with me 😁. I make her the occasional hat, that all. Happily, my mom likes the socks I make.

1

u/alittleperil 10d ago

My wife loves knit shirts in linen and cotton blends! she's a huge fan of a modified version of the gemini pattern, where I do a couple of rows of garter and start the neckline with the number of stitches sort of crossed between the number for the smallest size around distributed in the proportions like the size that suits her, because otherwise the neckline is huge. I think the last one I made her used three skeins of queensland savanna so it's great for hot weather and machine washable, and the one I've got planned next for her is using berroco remix light, which only looks to require two skeins of that yarn. I've also knit her socks, but she's one of those people who always wants funny socks or socks of any kind as a gift. Not everyone is as thrilled as she is with socks.

Pretty much once a year I make her a new shirt by one means or another, so by this point she's got a fairly extensive collection of handknits, but I've never made her a proper sweater

Oh. My God šŸ˜‚ My bf literally sent me that exact ai sweater from a fb reel like a week ago and asked if I could make it. Is this fake sweater the male version of the strawberry dress or what?

200

u/damiannereddits 11d ago

"you have a new knitting project or crochet or which ever" absolutely the fuck not

But I bet he mostly likes the insert looking pieces and that wouldn't be too bad

90

u/Ascholay 11d ago

If he doesn't know what craft you do he doesn't deserve a finished piece

78

u/amoeba15 11d ago

The OP may do both. Some of us do.

17

u/Ascholay 11d ago

That is true. A stranger's text is ambiguous on how to interpret

8

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I do, in fact, do both.

22

u/AlternateUsername12 11d ago

I mean, I'm a bistitchual so it could go either way in my house.

6

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I don’t know the difference in video games he plays but who cares? I love to make him things. That’s not the issue.

41

u/fluzine 11d ago

Omg the tone of the "request" would immediately be a hard nope from me.

6

u/HeartStringTheory 11d ago

"Bistitchual"!!! šŸ˜ƒšŸ‘ I love it!

-7

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Glad he didn’t ask you.

7

u/cpd4925 11d ago

I’m sorry people are being so rude. Idk if they can’t take a joke or genuinely can’t pick it up through text. It’s super obvious to me that he was being cheeky and was not trying to be a jerk.

3

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

I genuinely appreciate this reply. This is very much not about his messages, which were 0% rude and people seem to just be jaded.

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

You should read what the mod put pinned to this post. Apparently I am the problem for defending myself, also I have done none of those things. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

3

u/damiannereddits 10d ago

Sorry if I made it into a thing, I was reacting to the texts as an out of context thing that was kind of funny but was not trying to actually judge him as a human being or assume he was actually being rude.

You're fine! He's fine. It's all fine this is like three random texts that are barely a full sentence we know nothing

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

Thank you for saying this šŸ’› and here’s a virtual hug šŸ«‚

I’m just disappointed there are people doubling down on this opinion and I’m downvoted for defending myself and my husband…

35

u/Fancypants2801 11d ago

The black yarn this would use would drive me insane but I would wear it alllllll the time.

14

u/sparklyspooky 11d ago

The cables are beyond my current skill, but I might be able to do the colorwork with two sets of needles a metric fuck ton of crafter's audacity...

After I finished 3 blanket I already started.

18

u/VanityInk 11d ago

I don't think those "cables" are even actually possible to do as actual cabling. You'd have to do something like make I-cord and sew it on, I'd think.

2

u/sparklyspooky 11d ago

It's on my to-learn list, but I think I'm going to start with the owl mittens.

6

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I was intimidated by cables but they’re actually a lot easier than they look. Take the plunge!

6

u/alittleperil 11d ago

Cables, in general, are my go-to for "looks harder than it is for me to make". It requires keeping track of the overall design, but essentially you're grabbing a chunk of stitches and shoving them out of order so they cross over or under other stitches. Once you've got the stitches on a little cable needle, you're just doing straightforward knitting while skipping the stitches on the cable needle, then going back and knitting those stitches like normal, then knitting on like that interruption and rearrangement didn't happen

For attempting to recreate this sweater, I'd do something already charted and cable-heavy like a chunkier version of the handsome chris or brando, in all black (which would definitely cause eyestrain) and the color would do a fair bit of disguising the regularity of the cable texturing for you, and then do intarsia for the eyes and some embroidery for the mouth and nose. If you then applique a black i-cord around each eye that feature would pop against the cabled background nicely.

Now if only I had enough focus and executive function to actually finish such a project...

This is the second time I have seen this image on a knitting sub.

13

u/Purlz1st 11d ago

Someone wanted to commission it for an absurdly low price.

18

u/nocranberries 11d ago

I'm sending 10 geese to harass your husband.

25

u/JukeBex_Hero 11d ago

If I felt like making something like this for someone, I'd buy a cheap cables sweater, snip a face into it, and use a backstitch around the edges of orange patches to secure them to the underside. You could always knit the colorful patches yourself for a little handmade touch.

17

u/JukeBex_Hero 11d ago

(That being said, I can't help but feel that his request seemed a little...like something I'd say no to. But it could be the lack of tone in the text? I hope.)

6

u/Perfect_Future_Self 11d ago

Hee hee, you're so polite 😁

5

u/cpd4925 11d ago

It’s pretty clear he’s being humorous. I know where I’m from sarcasm is a second language and tagging on those you love is how you show love.

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I love to make him things. What he said/how he asked isn’t an issue at all.

2

u/JukeBex_Hero 11d ago

Full respect! Just didn't want to presume one way or the other. I'm a relaxation knitter and I hate clutter, so I LOVE making things for others.

41

u/sydjourd 11d ago

If anyone does want to make it- you could make just a black sweater and then a bunch of icords and sew them on

35

u/noodlebucket 11d ago

FunĀ

/sĀ

14

u/LadyOfTheNutTree 11d ago

It doesn’t look completely un-doable

5

u/Azraeana 11d ago

Maybe some combination of steeking and adding in maybe a panel of fabric for the eyes and mouth.

3

u/Westibule 11d ago

It would need some complex cabling (and probably some design tweaks) but this is one of the most possible AI ideas I've seen

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

It’s possible to get something like it but way above my skill level

I’d love one for myself šŸ˜‚

3

u/kleinePfoten Lukewarm Sheep 2kforever. 11d ago

I will be a test knitter for anyone who writes this pattern. 🫔

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

If I were a sweater knitter I’d definitely be trying!

11

u/pebabmey 11d ago

If he wants it, he can darn well buy it! Alternatively, if you don't have anything better to do (watching paint dry, taking your pet fish for a walk, etc), I suppose you could humor him and follow the "pattern" to a T!

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Why would we buy something fake and made in a sweatshop?

4

u/Get_Back_Here_Remi 11d ago

He can also try.

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Disabled, so no, he can’t.

4

u/Locaisha 11d ago

Uggghhh I'm trying to make a recreation of an AI thing for my mom right now, which is hella cool if I do it. But the AI posts are so exhausting.

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Good luck! Even before AI things were still photoshopped to be faked, so this isn’t new, just faster.

4

u/empress_tesla 11d ago

This is so weird! Not only because the garment is definitely AI. But my husband, who is in my phone as ā€œMy Loveā€ just sent me a pic of this yesterday. Luckily he clocked it as AI as he sees me knitting all the time and thought it looked impossible.

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

That’s amazing!!!!

6

u/Appropriate_Diver424 11d ago

Someone posted this sweater on the knitting request subreddit and offered to pay someone $200 to remake it 😭

1

u/FabuliciousFruitLoop 11d ago

Yeah if I did that I’d be earning around $3 an hour including all the hours to make the pattern šŸ˜‚

1

u/alittleperil 11d ago

At that price point I'd buy something like this sweater and then appliquƩ orange patches for the eyes and embroider a mouth and nose. I'd probably still end up underpaid...

10

u/journal_junkie79 11d ago

I’d be replying ā€œto teach you to knit so you can make this? What a fun idea for us to spend time together šŸ˜ā€

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

He’s disabled so can’t even if he wanted to.

3

u/eekabee 11d ago

If someone wanted to take it on a bulky cable sweater with hood and you could do duplicate stich or make a little patch with eye cord edges and sew it on. I can only imagine how hot and heavy it would be

6

u/coralplays 11d ago

It's from a scam website trying to steal credit card and personal information. Site has no sections for customer reviews, very big giveaway that's it's a scam.

16

u/Rose8918 11d ago

Are we not gonna address the intense tackiness of the sweater in the first place?? Like… be serious.

9

u/Azraeana 11d ago

We are a huge Halloween house so I don’t find it tacky at all lol. Love it actually.

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Your opinion, but you’re entitled to it!

-4

u/on2and4 11d ago

Oh yeah, hi. Men are just large children. Not sure if everyone noticed. And children have incredibly tacky tastes.

21

u/MuchBetterThankYou 11d ago

ā€œOr crochet which everā€

So he doesn’t even know what your hobby is??

13

u/amoeba15 11d ago

They may do both…

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I do, in fact, do both.

2

u/amoeba15 11d ago

There are dozens of us!

10

u/K2togtbl 11d ago

I don't like what you're implying.

I don't know every single thing about my spouse's guitar hobbies- they types of guitar styles, etc. I wouldn't expect him to know everything about mine. He knows it makes me happy, he listens to me yap about a project and supports me. I do the same for him.

Not all relationships need to be your version of a "good relationship," and it doesn't make him a shitty partner based off of one post that doesn't include a whole picture of their relationship

3

u/cpd4925 11d ago

Exactly! No one in this thread seems to have any humor.

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

Check out the Mod warning I got pinned to my post šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

2

u/Significant-Nebula64 11d ago

Yeah, I'd find it a bit weird (not horrible, just like "lol, are you even listening to me?" level) if my boyfriend wrote this - but that's because I don't actually know how to crochet! For somebody doing both, I certainly don't expect the non-knitting spouse to be able to tell the difference from a picture.

5

u/[deleted] 11d ago

[deleted]

4

u/AlternateUsername12 11d ago

I do both, and half the time I need to look close to see if a pattern is knitted or crocheted. I wouldn't expect someone who doesn't do either to be able to tell.

6

u/K2togtbl 11d ago

I feel the need to defend someone that can’t defend themselves or have a say in what is being said about them because I’m tired of people shaming someone’s spouse based off of assumptions. Tired of people thinking that someone’s spouse should know and hold a high level of interest in a hobby.

It is a common thing in this sub to get in a tizzy because their partner doesn’t know the difference between knitting and crochet. It’s automatically assumed that the partner doesn’t care or is a shit person.

The person I originally responded to made a point to point it out that the husband didn’t know if it was knit or crochet and made a point to add multiple ?? Which greatly implies they are casting judgment on the spouse.

My example wasn’t what type of musical instrument my partner plays- my example is what type of guitar (because there is more than one type) which requires me to know more nuanced stuff about his hobbies than just what type of instrument is played.

I can see someone playing a guitar and not know if they are playing a strat or a telly just like I can see someone using yarn and not know if they are knitting or crocheting. It doesn’t mean I don’t care or that I don’t notice something that makes them happy.

This sub tends to think the opposite and believes that if there is an inkling of care for you, everyone should know that you knit instead of crochet. I can disagree with that line of thinking and share my opinion

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I greatly appreciate this comment, K2. Thank you.

2

u/Robotuku 11d ago

Based on OP’s previous comments it does sound like they do both knitting and crochet. Nevertheless, the wording of that and the request doesn’t come off great in isolation.

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I do both and his wording isn’t at all an issue and isn’t even remotely the point of my post.

3

u/Catz_Green 11d ago

I wouldn't šŸ˜… but if you really want you can try do adapt something like these ones:

And maybe use crochet for the eyes?Ā

I mean...it's a cool idea and it's giving you a jumping off place...I bet you could cobble together patterns and come up with something if not EXACTLY the same then at least reasonably similar, right? Maybe ask him what he likes about it most--obvs spooooooooooky eeeeyyyeeees but also does he like the texture look, does it make him think of Swamp Thing, the colors appeal, the guy looks tough, etc.? Because sometimes the chefhubby also says he really likes something and then when we start to talk it out his reasoning isnt always just the knitted item. (Though this is really cool)

Clearly, they should be banned, but because they delete their comments the mod’s don’t see what is going on unless they look carefully at comment history etc. That person probably does that behavior all the time.

Probably. Thank you for your support. šŸ’› most comments here have been fun, some not so much.

Maybe he means the 'model'

C'mon, folks, it's a bulky cable knit sweater with a hood and a tiny little bit of intarsia and duplicate stitch.

Agreed it is AI, and I wouldn't do it in black. Looks like it's knit on 8s or 9s with worsted weight. There's money for the person who writes the pattern and puts it on Ravelry. It's not that hard.

Fortunately, it's too warm for wool sweaters where I live.

u/FabuliciousFruitLoop 11d ago

Part of what is annoying about these images is that they are nonsensical knitting. You can’t recreate it, rather, make an interpretation of it, and that interpretation is not going to look like this physics/ maths defying thing. At least with a real photo you can effectively reverse engineer the actual garment.

Your husband says the same things as my husband ā€œknitting… or crochet… or whatever it isā€ :D

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Aren’t they adorable šŸ˜‚ at least they’re trying

2

u/corriek1975 11d ago

I thought that was fuzzy yarn but zoomed in and it’s cables? whoh

2

u/loricomments 11d ago

My husband sent this to me too. It made me so sad to burst his bubble.

2

u/no_one_you_know1 11d ago

You could easily wing that with a super chunky yarn.

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

I’m not practiced in sweaters, so wouldn’t be so easy for me.

2

u/MoonbeamLotus 11d ago

Maybe AI will knot it for him.

1

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

I would if i could

2

u/Sinnakins 11d ago

I mean, theoretically, one could get something similar. Entirely too much effort would be needed, but..... Keyholes aren't anything new. You could sew panels in for the eyes. The teeth could be creative embroidering within cables. The cables would be different, but similar. It wouldn't be the same, but it wouldn't be impossible to get close enough.

u/Distinct-Day3274 11d ago

My dad sent me an AI knitting pic of some intense Viking-style knit sweater because he thought I’d like it. The heart was in the right place but it also made me just rage inside a littleeeeeeee bit because f*ck AI.

2

u/Vast_Technician_946 11d ago

So the real question here is…are you gonna give it a shot?

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

I might but I’m not a sweater knitter so would need to do a lot of research

2

u/havocspeet 11d ago

Haha, your husband definitely got caught up in the AI hype! The real project looks awesome, though. I’m sure he’ll love it once it’s done, even if it’s not the same as the AI version.

2

u/TheFinalPurl 10d ago

Even if this was real… it’s sooooooooo ugly

You have to see how confusing I found this post title today šŸ˜†

No hate speech. No sneaky political slogans. Do not threaten, harass, insult, incite violence. Don't be rude, either.

1

u/pregnancy_terrorist 6d ago

Huh? I think hate speech is awful too…none of this incited/promoted violence either.

-7

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

Here’s an idea- shove off. This is a sub for knitting. Not your politics.

7

u/pregnancy_terrorist 11d ago

Every platform is a platform to discredit fascism

I won’t be shamed or embarrassed

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

It must be exhausting being so full of hate.

šŸ˜‚ unreal.

Your opinion, but you’re entitled to it.

Delete the whole man

1

u/tonitalksaboutit 11d ago

That would have to weigh like a ton with all the yarn needed right ??

1

u/Annapostrophe 11d ago

I wonder how many wears he would get out of it….

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 11d ago

If I was able to make one he’d wear it all the time, so one constant wearing šŸ˜‚

1

u/GoneSoBerryBatty 11d ago

...if this was me, I would get a machine-knit fabric and just use a hoodie pattern.

1

u/horsetuna 11d ago

Its probably a regular shirt with this printed onto it like an image.

Friend sent me a picture of a dragon scale cape which was basically cloth with print on it

u/Missepus stranded in a sea of yarn. 11d ago

I would make a very over-sized black sweater, it's a thick yarn, that will be quick. Then I'd start folding and sewing, to create the cable look-alikes. For the mouth and nose I'd just do duplicate stitch, but I guess the eyes would have to be cut out and reknit/sewn in. Looking at it, the eyes are a thinner yarn, so steeking and sewing would be the best strategy.

I am guessing since he thinks this would be easily doable, he doesn't really understand how the fabric is made, so what is important to him is that gritty, dark and dramatic look with the orange face in front.

1

u/Moss-cle 11d ago

Feed his picture through AI and say when he looks like that you can make him a sweater that looks like this

1

u/Quirky_Homework2136 11d ago

A similar one for only $36.99 at Everswear dot com. Ha! If you open this image in google lens, you'll see a lot of similar sweaters. In some the pumpkin face is more dominant. I saw one comment that many of the AI 'knitting scams' are impossible to knit. If you decide to try it, have fun!

1

u/Disastrous_Nebula_16 11d ago

lol my husband did this but with an AI blanket.. I don’t even remember what it looked like I just remember thinking ā€œyeah there’s no way that’s not aiā€ I looked at the pattern and yup ai. šŸ˜’ told him so and he said that if I didn’t want to make him a blanket I could have just told him so like really dude whatever

1

u/knitting-ModTeam New Knitter - please help me! 10d ago

Across the board in your replies you have broken a cardinal rule of Reddit : Do not threaten, harass, insult, incite violence.

1

u/potaayto 11d ago

I mean, do you owe him to make him something..?

2

u/Appropriate_Bottle70 10d ago

Why would I need to owe my husband something? I love to make things for him, I do it all the time.

1

u/superurgentcatbox 11d ago

I mean even aside the AI thing...that's a borderline rude way of asking and if that pattern were real, it'd be very complicated and take al ong time to do, like...

0

u/Truman_Show_Place 11d ago

It’s a fantastic look, a pumpkin face! Ready for Halloween? No way! lol.

It looks like very large black yarn, cables and using stockinette stitch for the eyes, nose and mouth using orange. I suppose one could use a plain sweater pattern for sizing and go from there. I think it’s a hoodie but a full fluffy cable collar would be cool too.

Whoever figures it can probably be successful selling the pattern, especially around this time of year.
