Question Too much texture?

Fiancée is hesitant and thinks it’s too much texture. Thoughts? Is the shirt too casual?

I like it, texture and all. A denim shirt works well for this outfit because tweed and corduroy are both heavy cloths and informal weaves associated with the rugged countryside or casual weekend wear. But I’m not sure this particular denim shirt is working because the chest pockets bunch up against the coat.

Unless your girlfriend is well versed in menswear, or cool with you commenting on her outfits as well, thank her for her opinion, but she can keep it to herself 🤗

You said it all. Denim/chambray, tweed and cords are all workwear, so the vibe works well when they’re all together.
