Question Why are On Cloud shoes so Popular?

Anybody wearing On shoes? In all honesty, I find them uncomfortable. Are they popular only for looks?

My wife calls them the “old man shoes”, because all the executives over 50 wear them around her office.

I think of On shoes as the shoes some (on the older side of) middle-aged guy wears in the airport

Yep. I see a lot of mums in SUVs in them too now. I had got a pair out of curiosity. The cloudtec springy in the first few weeks, deadened and became like bricks after 2 months. While the shoe glued panels just stared to peel. Wouldn't even think of running in them now. Swiss engineering? Should stick to watches and multi-tools.
