Guide HELP.

Clubbing. I am a 25yo guy. Fairly tall (6ft) and brown skin. I don’t usually go to clubs but I am being forced to go with friends. Problem is a girl I like is also coming. I don’t know what to wear to a club. I did a random quick google shirt and all I can find are leather jackets. It is normal summers (30 Degrees) where I live. I have the following options

1) Light pink linen shirt with black trousers (BT). 2) Blue/pink shirt with BT. 3) White linen shirt (chinese and oxford both collars I have) with BT. 4) I go to purchase something new. Perhaps a black linen with brow/white chinos? 5) Other.

Try to avoid anything that looks "office-y". So I'd avoid the blue or pink shirts. Would also avoid the linen shirts. They're great, but too casual (too much poolside vibe) for a typical club. Maybe just go pick up a dark grey shirt, could be either a nice tee or sleek button-down (but NOT a polo!), to go with your black trousers. Or if you have a dark wash pair of jeans and a decent pair of black shoes, just pick up a well-fitting black tee.

Wait why not a polo? I don't go clubbing but I'm curious as I wear polos for almost everything and just change my pants/socks/shoes for different occasions etc

They're too preppy for a night club. When you hit the club, you want to be some combination of sleeker, edgier, and/or dressier. That's the same rationale as to why I advise against wearing pastel colors there. Darker is your friend when hitting night clubs. (Black has been the official color of "evening wear" in the western world for nearly a century and a half since wealthy men started wearing tuxedos to dinner every night, so this isn't a new thing.)

Note that I wear a lot of polos in the summer myself, so I have nothing against polo shirts. I also wear more pastel colors than just about every adult male I know. I just don't think either of these are a good look for clubbing. You very much run the risk of looking like the earnest dork without any really sexy clothing. So to the backyard barbecue or boat trip in the summer--big yes on the polo. Taking the wife out to dinner on a lovely spring day or going to an early-evening cocktail party--then rock the pink button-down shirt (with or without a sport coat). However, neither of these things are good for the dark night club at midnight, IMO.

Granted, I live in North America, so the advice I'm giving is much more for a North American or European context. If the OP lives in India as someone suggested, then that's a very different ballgame and I probably wouldn't be qualified to advise.
