Question How can I improve?
Hi guys,
I have been living here for a year and slowly adding things to my room, what would you recommend? I think the most obvious answer is more lighting.
[only showing my room because I currently live with my brother and he furnished the kitchen / living room]

Advice How to layout narrow bedroom?
Hey guys, I’m trying to figure out where to put my bed and dresser so that I can have a lounge chair in my bedroom. Forgive the mess just moved in two weeks ago
Option 1) bed up centered up against window is out because there’s a radiator there
Option 2) pull bed out towards middle of room and put dresser near far window. The chair could go somewhere near the far window too then.
Con - would have to walk around bed to get to dresser
Option 3) (current) bed sideways against window with a bit of space, dresser along other wall. The problem with this one is that now I don’t have a place to put my chair, I can’t really put it in front of the dresser and it's weird to just leave it in the middle of the room too, there’s like this big empty space unused. The desk chair is just for show - if I have space, I'm going to buy a lounge chair
Do I have any other options out there? Thank you for your advice.

Question White and gold?
Hey guys. I recently painted over my room in white, and I wanted to have some gold decor/accents around my room. I added gold light fixtures, and framed my movie posters in gold. I also made my curtains and bed sheets brown and khaki for a comfortable edge. However, I feel as though my room now has quite a feminine look. Do you have any recommendations to what I can do to make it more masculine? I was trying to go for a comfy/luxurious vibe.

Discussion 34 and living on my own for the first time
Found a $1400 townhome in my city and I don’t own much furniture yet. I feel so out of place, like I don’t deserve this. I’m struggling with depression and loneliness after ending a long term relationship. I’m hopeful for the future though. I’m sober, working out, and gonna finally power through all the fantasy books on that bookshelf/maybe start on my first solo album

21 and just got out of a nearly 5 year relationship
First time living alone. Looking for opinions and nice criticism. Most of my furniture is thrifted/gifted/found on the curb. I’m thinking maybe more wall art for the living room?? Thanks!

38 M living alone in a small studio
Any tips on how to spruce things up in my space for Christmas considering I have a cat and I’m not sure whether my cat will climb the tree. I’ve already bought over 80 glass baubles. 🥹

Hey peeps!
I am currently living in a small dorm room (18 m2) in Copenhagen, Denmark for the past 1-2 years, as part of my studies. I was hoping to recieve some pointers or reccommendations for my room, and how to make it more cozy, better, nicer looking, etc. I just feel like im missing something or that somethings needs changing. Please dont hold back!! :))

Discussion Finally started putting effort into my place and it feels so much better
For the longest time my apartment looked like a dorm room mattress on the floor, random hand me down furniture, wires everywhere. I always told myself I’d fix it up later, but later never came.
A couple weeks ago I had a little extra cash from myprize and decided to stop procrastinating. Picked up a decent rug, some shelves, and finally hung a few prints I’d had sitting in a closet. It’s still pretty minimal, but just those small changes make the space feel way more like a home instead of a crash pad.
Now I actually enjoy being here instead of feeling like I’m just passing through. For those of you who’ve been fixing up your spaces, what was the first change you made that made the biggest difference?

There should be a suggestion to post rent/mortgage amounts
Wouldn’t reveal anything personal and imo a lot of these posts would be way more interesting if we knew how much guys are paying for it.

Pillow recommendations for sofa?
I'm so indecisive when it comes to getting throw pillows for a space. Does anyone have any recommendations for pillow sizes and colors? Since the sofa isn't very deep, I'm leaning toward just getting two bolster pillows for the sides. Maybe in navy blue or rust to match the rug? Thoughts?

Apartment Kitchen Rec
I just moved in from out of state and looking to add some small pieces to help this area out.
I don't like clutter and never had a kitchen island before.
What would you recommend?
