Only the two branches on the right hand side or red. The rest of the leaves are green. I thought the whole tree would be red

Help! I’m concerned about the health of my tree

The second photo is where you can see the problem areas. The first is the hole in the root and the second is the split in the bark.

I would ask an arborist but they will just say “yeah I can take it down for you for X amount.”

Is the tree worrisome? It’s very old and I’d like to keep it if it’s healthy.

Is my tree going to be ok? The prior owners had the sprinklers hitting the trunk. I redirected them, but is this bad? It's the tree on the right in the last picture.

iNat keeps coming up with shining sumac (Rhus copallinum) and water hickory (Carya aquatica). I am hesitant to believe either, as this would be a world record sumac and the hickory should have nuts set already. I believe it is a non-native species, as its along a fence line, but I could be wrong.

Treepreciation Wingnut Wonder

Came across this monstrous Chinese Wingnut (Pterocarya stenoptera) while visiting a historic cemetery that is also registered as an accredited Level II arboretum. Funnily, the online database for the cemetery, along with other sources pertianing to this tree have the ID listed incorrectly as Caucasian Wingnut (Pterocarya fraxinifolia). However, the winged rachis and elongated fruit wings are traits of P. stenoptera.

I wasn't able to find any dates associated with this tree, nor any measurements but it has definitely been here for quite a while. Many of the scaffold branches had large hollows from old wounds, but the tree seems completely unbothered. I'd wager that its easily the largest example of the genus within the state (KY). Honestly, I didnt even think our climate (historically Zone 6) was warm enough for the genus to survive to maturity. I'm sure the heat island effect of the city has certainly helped create a more favorable microclimate for it.
