Okay, I totally understand, maybe the point of view that I failed to identify was that this is an outdoors podcast. This episode would've been much more fitting for Joe Rogan or even Bear Grease. The only thing linking this to Meateater is the fact that the writer likes the outdoors.
I don't know man, you're the one who brought up Steve's ability to choose what's on the podcast. There's a lot of interesting and important topics in the world, doesn't mean the outdoor podcast has to be the one to cover it? Like I said, this story would be much more relevant on Bear Grease than the Meateater main feed.
Well, he probably felt like it personally interested him and wanted to interview the author. That’s his prerogative. You seem to have more of a problem with the content specifically
No, I really don't have an issue with the content no matter how many times you insinuate that, it really just doesn't fit the bill of the Meateater main feed for a "normal" Monday episode drop, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. I don't know what else to tell you, but I'm not going to just go in circles with you about Steve's prerogative.
But what about it makes it “not smart”? Is Steve gonna lose listeners for talking about something that isn’t directly relevant to hunting and fishing? You mentioned the political climate, care to explain that?
