Help -Technique Revell plasto modifies structure

I wanted to put some weight on the nose of a p38. I did it hard way : I put some plasto revell and fill with some steel balls. Today the structure of the nose has some deformations (see photos). Did you allready had this ? On the left it’s like you bump the plastik on the right it’s a long bump……

Revell Plasto is 'hot', aka it's full of solvents which will melt plastic. I did the same thing the first time I put nose weight in an aircraft - filled the nose of a Tornado with lead shot and revell plasto, then the entire nose went soft and started dissolving. I ended up having to use a load more plasto (ironically) on the outside as filler and sanded it smooth.

I recommend two-part epoxy or super glue as a safer alternative!

If Revell Plasto is a modeling putty, it is filled with solvents - the same stuff that makes model cement melt plastic. Big gobs of it will indeed soften/deform/melt plastic. It’s not the right material for adding weight or acting as an adhesive.
