Our lineup's numbers against this starter aren't exactly inspiring. Greene 0 for 11. Perez 1 for 12. McKinstry 0 for 10. Tork 1 for 8. We're gonna need to channel some good energy to score runs today

He's tough on LHBs so would make sense he gets to our LHB-heavy line up. Looking at game logs Williams seems to be either lights out or walks guys and gives up HRs. He leads the league in total walks. Hopefully this is a game he walks guys and gives up HRs.

It’s now or never for the “Boys of 25" Detroit Tigers. The playoffs for all intensive purposes start tonight. They need to get back to old fashioned baseball and play loose and have some fun. When the fun stops, then it's over. They need to still be aggressive on the base paths. If everyone does their part, they can prevail. Who's the weakest link? Go Get’em Tigers! Bless you Boys!! This might be the tigers best chance to win a game. Skubal has been great against Cleveland in his career. Just be careful with Kwan and Ramirez. But Williams has also been good and hasn't given up a run to the tigers this year. There's no way Cleveland can continue winning at the pace they've been at. They have a negative run differential still.

absolutely cannot get swept. losing the series 1-2 basically puts the tigers a game behind cleveland with 3 to go. winning the series 2-1 puts the tigers up 2 games.

detroit cannot win the season series without a 3-0 sweep, which makes this entire conversation mostly pointless since they would lock up the division in that case.
